The Moon is comfy this weekend as it sits in the Zodiac sign it rules. Watery, moody Cancer gets us ready for family, food and home. Domesticity has its merits, make yourself, and anyone who happens to stop by, comfortable and happy if you can. You’ll enjoy it.

Sun moves into the 12^th and final sign of the Zodiac – imaginative, impressionable, intuitive Pisces. Since it is a Water sign ruled by Neptune, pay attention to your dreams (keep pen and paper next to your bed to take notes 🙂 ) but stay grounded and connected. Over sensitivity to adverse energy or vibrations is no excuse to drift or try to escape. Be steady, be productive, be creative – which can be great for anyone associated with the arts. The Moon will do a social dance into the gracious Air sign Libra early Friday afternoon February 10, 2012.  The weekend will be all about partnerships/ relationships because the 7^th sign of the Zodiac fosters not only beauty and creativity, due to the influence of its planet ruler Venus, but also seeks a natural balance in the universe – harmony with people and harmony in the home. There is a lot to be said for using beautiful things and peaceful surroundings to lift spirits and ease the settling of any disputes. Charm is NOT a weakness.

By Sunday afternoon the mood changes as the Moon slides into serious, sensual, secretive, stubborn, Scorpio (I ran out of “s”s). Ruled by powerful Pluto, this Water sign’s focus and determination can lead to uncovering mysteries, peeling back layers, etc. Deep.

Late Friday evening, February 3, 2012, the moon floats into the Water sign it rules – Cancer. The Moon is very comfortable and happy in this emotional, familycentric 4^th sign of the Zodiac and will remain there until Monday morning. It can put us in the perfect mood for creating a super Super Bowl Party (or any alternative gathering of loved ones that you prefer). A feast for family and friends = fun.

Being welcoming and kind, making visitors comfortable, sharing delicious things, taking care of everyone will be important while under the influence of a Cancer Moon. This can be a loving, nurturing time. Surround yourself and enjoy.

On Friday, 12/2, we will be experiencing the effects of a sensitive, creative Pisces Moon. Don’t let “feelings” overwhelm you or lose your grip on the real. Be as caring and compassionate as you wish, just don’t be taken in by anything questionable. Pisces, 12^th sign of the Zodiac, is ruled by the dreamy planet Neptune. While the Moon is in this Water sign, there may be a drift toward escape to other worlds, but hold on, stay grounded – the mood, along with the Lunar orb’s sign, will change on Saturday evening.

The Moon marches into the physical, aggressive sign of Aries. (Think “Action figure”.)  This Fire sign is ruled by the planet Mars – the unofficial patron saint of warriors. Even though Arian Moon days are best for action rather than mental endeavors, they’re still a good time to initiate, take charge. However, remember to power down occasionally so that loved ones don’t feel that they are in the presence of a verbal buzz saw, but by all means, take advantage of the energy.

The Scorpio Sun can infuse us with passion and focus to get projects accomplished, snare that love interest and drill down thru any mysteries that need to be solved. (Think “determination”) Due to the characteristic sensitivity and emotionality of Water signs, Scorpio’s power will not be served distant and cold – there will be drama, there will be depth. Scorpio heat arrived on Sunday October 23, 2:30PM Eastern / 11:30AM Pacific. 

Scorpio is our 8^th sign of the Zodiac. It brings intensity and deep feeling. With its traditional planet ruler Mars, energy and aggression, its co ruler Pluto, power and transformation, any superficial skimming of the surface, in conversation or action, just won’t do. Save the relationship “lite” for another time. Note that this deep and real stuff can lead to all sorts of “feelings” that you may not be prepared to confront. So, pay attention, you may get all wrapped up in the emotion and possible acting out scenarios and then discover that the resulting “overwhelm” does not quite match the situation. Nothing wrong with using an internal pause button to give us a chance to think, rather than just react.

We can accomplish a lot during this time using Scorpio’s power and focus. But also remember that laughter can be used as a balm to stabilize, bring things into perspective and lighten the atmosphere. Save any overflowing angst and/or grudges for another day – it may dissipate as the mood changes.

Starting Friday evening October 7, 2011 a Pisces Moon urges us to paint something, draw something, write something, compose something. Imagination, intuition, impressions surround us this weekend. (Can be great for creativity.)

Saturday afternoon September 3 through Monday, is all about Sagittarius. When the Moon bounces into this Fire sign, we tend to be upbeat, friendly risk takers.  It’s all good, everything is possible, a “yes” attitude. Busy holiday weekend starts Friday 7/1. There is New Moon energy, always good for beginnings, launches, etc, in the Water sign of Cancer and at the same time, a Partial Solar Eclipse occurs – 4:54 AM Eastern/ 1:54 AM Pacific. As a result, Moon ruled Cancer’s traits may be amped up, so emotions will be very close to the surface, sensitivity heightened – “Feelings, whoa, whoa feeeeelings…”.  Be careful not to overreact if loved ones are tactless. Try to use any uncovered  vulnerability creatively, imaginatively. Feelings can be upbeat and perky, spread it around to those same impolite loved ones.

Saturday afternoon, 5:43PM Eastern /2:43PM Pacific, the Moon does a royal procession into Fire Sign Leo. The 5^th sign of the Zodiac is noted for its enthusiasm, generosity, “look at me!” way of being. Of course it is ruled by the Sun and there will seem to be a general  demand for attention from friends/family and even people you don’t know. Just be kind to those that are willing to revolve around you. Bask in all that light and warmth (I don’t mean the weather) and take everyone along for some “La Dolce Vita” stuff.

Please note that communication planet Mercury will also move into Leo on 7/1, so look out for conversation stopping comments to be made and earth shaking tweets to be sent or read. This weekend could be full of drama, but still fun. Fireworks, YAY!

On Monday evening 7/4 the practical, conscientious Virgo Moon arrives (9:15PM Eastern/ 6:15PM Pacific) just in time to give us a chance to power down and get ready for back to work.
