As I mentioned when the Sun entered the 7^th sign of the Zodiac back on 9/23 – the Libra New Moon occurs early in the morning of Tuesday 9/27 and there will be 5 planets residing in this Air sign – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Sun and Moon. This could be an amazing time full of charming interactions, relationship building and sparkling creativity.  

“New” happens each month when the Sun and the Moon are in the same sign. It is a great time for beginnings of any kind.  Lovely planet ruler Venus, remains until 10/8/11, encouraging and powering up all Libra traits. “New” in this social sign can mean new:  friends, relationships, partners, contracts, etc. (Blind date? Speed networking/business card exchange party?) Regardless of what, there will be smiles and cooperation.

Saturn, planet of hard work and limitations, will be in Libra until October 2012. Are there fixes, adjustments to be done with those that are held close or at a distance?  Saturn may constrict some of the natural Libra relaxed ease with people, but it can also give strength and focus – not to give in to an opposing point of view just to be agreeable. Making decisions can be faster than usual.

The Fall / Autumnal Equinox arrives the same day as the Sun saunters into Libra on Friday September 23, 2011. Relationships of all types are now in the forefront – family, friends, marriages, business partners. It’s fun to be with people, to chat, flirt, laugh. The 7^th sign of the Zodiac, ruled by Venus, loves beautiful things, wants to be in the midst of music, art and charm filled situations  – wants all the good stuff to warm and lift the spirits. My suggestion for anything Libran is always: meet some fun folks for brunch!

Even if it isn’t your Sun or Rising sign, Libra will still cast a glow of congeniality. It’s all about socializing, networking, getting along. There will be cooperation – great time to ask for a raise? build a group of volunteers?

Is there work to be done with those that are held close or at a distance? Are we going to pretend to be “surprised” if a hitch in a relationship shows up, or will we admit that we saw “it” coming? Saturn can reveal, make us look. Tough scrutiny will give an opportunity to get back on track – a good thing. A situation may get healthier, after taking the medicine, regardless of how awful the taste.

The Libra way is to see both sides of an issue before making decisions. Seeking harmony by trying to be “fair” can sometimes lead to appearing wishy-washy. Using the “Pros/Cons” list method for making decisions can just string the selection process out. Be aware that important action can be stalled by over think. Paying attention to instinct and being honest will give a more direct line to a choice. Don’t hesitate to show your spine when needed (some may be surprised when Libra’s inner tensile strength is revealed), you’ll still be loved!

Beginning Friday September 16, a sensual Taurus Moon will work its magic until the multi tasking Gemini Lunar orb brings a different kind of terrific early in the morning on Sunday September 18.  Earthy, Venus ruled Taurus and Airy, Mercury ruled Gemini should make for a social weekend – tender romance, delicious food, entertaining conversation, high or low brow literary pursuits – not bad! 

For the next few days, take advantage of whatever diverse moods and energy are available in the universe due to the changing Zodiac Moon signs. An early morning Taurus Moon on Friday August 19, 2011 means being surrounded this weekend with Taurean themes –  romance, creativity, comfort (financial and physical). Ruled by the lovely planet Venus, this beauty loving, food loving, loving Earth sign can push tendencies to be attached to ideas or points of view and be resistant to change. Nobody wants to lose, give up/ give in, change direction. Well, we have all heard the word “compromise” too much lately – but, think about it. Sometimes you have to choose your battles, rather than take a stand  “just because”.

Weekend desires may include being financially, physically secure and comfy. Re evaluate how you spend and save your money.  With grounded Taurus determination, you can manage your cash and still be good to yourself and loved ones.

The Sun rules the 5^th sign of the Zodiac and you can tell. With the influence of the “Sun King”, we all should feel upbeat and magnanimous – it’s all that regal, “all about me” stuff. Leo’s are generous, dramatic  (great performers), attention seeking, creative and full of a lion’s pride. When the Sun struts into this Fire sign on Friday July 22nd 9:12PM Pacific / Saturday July 23rd 12:12AM Eastern, expect to have some fun for the duration of its stay.

Glow and be warmed as the Solar presence heats the talent, self confidence and love segments of life. Graciously ooze that Leo charm and you will be looked at, admired, loved. Time to step up and step out – just watch the imperiousness. (Speed dating could be really exciting, or off the hook – as the kids say)

While the communication planet Mercury is in Leo, until July 28, self expression is clever, entertaining, and confident. Perhaps more ego driven than usual, share the conversation, let someone else get a word in – it’s not all about you.

FYI – Just to add to the attractiveness of it all, Venus the Goddess planet of love floats into Leo on July 28^th and stays until August 21. Beautify self and surroundings and be royal but in moderation. Money will be very easy to throw around, ignore the urge to show off. People will be drawn to you regardless.

*BTW: The date when the Sun transits into a sign can fluctuate year to year -19, 20, 21, 23. If born on one of these days, you are considered a cusp baby – close to two signs- but regardless, there is only one Sun sign on an Astrology chart  (however, the individual will often exhibit a combo of characteristics from both signs).

A Snap, crackle and pop Aries Moon will spread its Mars influenced energy until Friday afternoon 7/22.  Make sure you have something physical to do. Keep recklessness to a minimum – only get close enough to the edge to stave off boredom. Reign in any aggressive urges, think before you act (rash impulses can lead to embarrassment?).  

Then late evening, settle down with the practical, determined Taurus Moon for the rest of the weekend. This Earth sign is ruled by Venus, so along with a little stubbornness, there will be romantic and luxe tendencies.  Have a lovely champagne and chocolates time wherever and whenever you can. Be obstinate only when it really matters.

If you need to get something done, start and end early on Friday June 24, 2011. The fiery, energetic, aggressive influences of Mars ruled Aries will last until 6:07 PM Eastern/ 3:07 Pacific and then the Moon goes Void of Course until Saturday afternoon. All those “lets go get’em” vibes can lose clarity and focus which can lead to lots of action, but very little finish. Wait, if you can, until the Lunar orb moves into the next sign – Taurus, 4:53PM Eastern/ 1:53PM Pacific on June 25^th.

Lasting until Monday morning, the practical, stubborn Taurus Moon can assist in completing what Aries started. This Earth sign is ruled by the lovely Venus – that old saying about catching more with honey, than vinegar (something like that) can be quite effective when finalizing a deal, cajoling a signature, nailing down a commitment. Be gracious while accomplishing. Charm works!

FYI:  “Void of Course” or VC or VOC –     As I’ve mentioned in this space before, “Void of Course” – means that the Moon position creates no aspects (relationships/connections) to the Sun or planets while on its way into the next sign.  A Moon without “aspects”, can be a time of vagueness and doubt.  The consensus among Astrologers is to “not start anything”.  Finishing projects that began before the “VC” can be handled and completed, but avoid initiating during this uncertain time.

All day Friday and Sunday, 5/27 and 5/28, we will feel the influence of the Aries Moon.  This aggressive, impatient Fire sign is ruled by the planet Mars – the unofficial patron saint of warriors.  Arian Moons are great for action rather than mental activity, but still a good time to initiate, take charge- just think it thru and go for it. Use the physicality to burn off any anger or frustration that might be lurking.

All day Sunday and Holiday Monday, 5/29 and 5/30, the Taurus Moon turns our thoughts to money – again. Friday the 13^th – What me worry?? Nope – no “triskaidekaphobia” here! It will be a beautiful day filled with charm and beauty. Especially once the Lunar orb arrives in the social, partnership focused Air sign of Libra. This Venus ruled sign urges us to cooperate, find balance, seek out pretty things, partake of good food – just harmony and general deliciousness. The mood turns serious and intense with a Scorpio Moon on Sunday May 15, 12:32 PM Eastern/ 9:32AM Pacific. Emotions run deep. No time for the superficial.  You can dig and get to the bottom of any mysteries that are troubling you.

A “New Moon” heralds beginnings and is a great time to initiate projects, make changes.
