After the fierce and feisty Aries Moon on Thursday and Friday, we calm down when the Lunar orb moves into earthy, solid, Venus ruled Taurus on Saturday 9/21/20 remaining until early Monday. It’s about sensuality, life’s beauty and pleasures, but since the second sign of the Zodiac is a “fixed” sign, it also brings forth the obstinate bull in us.

Is there such a thing as inflexible love?  Nobody wants to lose, give up/ give in, change direction. “Stickin-to-your-guns” works – until it doesn’t. Pay attention and accept when being stubborn stops getting the results wanted. Relax and luxuriate in great food, great people and great atmoshere as much as you can during this final weekend of Summer.

Monday’s New Moon, March 11, 2013, is in Pisces. It won’t be alone. Neptune, Mercury, Mars, Venus and the Sun are also transiting the 12^th sign of the Zodiac thereby doing major amping of Piscean themes in addition to highlighting a Moon phase that spurs on beginnings and the “new”. This sensitive, dreamy, imaginative Water sign makes it a perfect time to explore the spiritual while grounding ourselves in real life. Take notes and write down suddenly vivid, technicolor  dreams, but keep a grip, don’t float away in a haze.

FYI – Mercury Retrograde ends on Sunday March 17^th. The Communication planet will stop and start moving forward again. After a day or so, there will be an energy shift, things seemingly stuck in molasses will loosen and start moving. New Moon energy lasts for approximately 2 weeks, so we have time to initiate those brilliant projects we’ve been stewing over during the Retrograde period. Creativity should be on the boil.

It might be the vibrations of this fixed, finance focused Earth sign guided by the elegant, luxury loving planet Venus. There may be choices to be made about weekend plans. Friday and Saturday, it will be in charming Libra. Sunday afternoon, thru Tuesday, we’ve got intense Scorpio. Air sign Libra and Water sign Scorpio are very different in their influences on us, however, squeeze the positive out of each, even though the “tone” of the day will change. Variety can be a good thing.

Social, agreeable, partnership focused Libra. The 7^th sign of the Zodiac fosters not only beauty and creativity, due to the influence of its planet ruler Venus, but also seeks a natural balance in the universe – harmony with people and harmony in the home.

Feeling beautiful, stubborn and material? It might be the vibrations of the Taurus Full Moon on Monday October 29, 2012. This is a fixed, finance focused Earth sign guided by the elegant, luxury loving planet Venus.

Whatever vibes are out there can all be put to good use. As always with a “Full”, it’s a good time to finish what you’ve started. With the grounded Taurus influence, it makes sense to complete any money dealings and/or improvements to surroundings – beauty, comfort and safety. Fall is officially here and along with the Autumn Equinox, in the Northern Hemisphere, the Sun waltzed into Libra on Saturday September 22, 2012. Even if it isn’t your Sun or Rising sign, the 7^th sign of the Zodiac will still cast a glow. It’s all about socializing, networking, getting along. There will be cooperation, genial negotiations and the urge to seek balance in both business and personal relationships. Communication planet Mercury will be visiting Libra until October 5, 2012, it should make for clever, interesting dinner conversation. Saturn, planet of restrictions and just general “grownup-ness” has been transiting Libra for about 2 years. It leaves the Air sign on October 6, 2012. Any feelings of limitations due to the task master’s presence should dissipate. The plus side is you’ll be left with any results that focused, hardworking Saturn has left you. (Was decision making faster than usual?)

Seeking harmony, the Libra way is to see both sides of an issue before making up your mind. However, using the Pros/Cons list method can just string the selection process out. Be aware that important action can be stalled by over think. Paying attention to instinct and being honest will give a more direct line to a choice.

A Gemini Moon, beginning on Friday, August 10, 2012, will have us searching for people to hear us, listen to us, or read us this weekend. Lovely Venus just moved out of this 3^rd sign of the Zodiac into Cancer and the natural chatty, twittering energy of communication maven Gemini may sharpen and bite a little more than it had been since April 2012 when the loving, charming planet began its transit, so watch your tone. A snippy Twitter or FB post can grow legs and follow you around for a few days. (You’ll have to spend time next week deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing…)

The urge to exchange ideas and deep thoughts, or just gossip, will be strong. Have fun, spread knowledge, teach something, learn something, enjoy the youthful energy that is particularly Gemini.

Friday June 15, 2012 graces us with a Taurus Moon all day. Venus rules this sensuous yet finance concerned Earth sign. You may choose to either tackle that bank statement or, indulge yourself, and partner, with delicious, chocolate dipped strawberries. Remember, not all things are either/or. “AND” can often work very well too 🙂

With the Sun currently in Gemini, the Saturday night switch to a Moon in the same Air sign will stimulate those traits for which this Mercury ruled sign is known. Its duality (the Twins?) can make us clever and versatile and also a little flighty and distracted. Go and chat someone up, but, think before you speak (or push “send” on that email or text).  

Taurus and Gemini Moons can lead us toward a social weekend: delicious food, entertaining conversation, high or low brow literary pursuits.
