A Full Moon glows in the 11^th sign of the Zodiac on Wednesday August 1, 2012. We will feel the influences of friendly, unconventional Aquarius more intensely than a usual 2½ day Moon transit. A stubborn, group oriented, caring sign, it is about the “We/Us” rather than the “I/Me”.

(The best time to create, start new things is from the beginning of a “New Moon” phase thru the 2nd quarter – “waxing”.)

Friday afternoon April 13, 2012, a “Triskaidekaphobia” Day, begins an unpredictable, innovative, freedom craving Aquarius Moon weekend. This Air sign is noted for its stubborn resistance to the status quo. Ruled by eccentric Uranus, it influences us to create something “new”, resist authority, and refuse boredom at all costs. It can truly lead to interesting times 🙂

Also, while under the humanitarian focused Aquarius Moon, we have a good time getting in the middle of group rallies and community activities. Get involved with anything that matters to you. We can make a difference and still have fun.

The cycle begins again with the Sun entering fiery, Mars ruled Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac. Besides being the beginning of the Astrological New Year, March 19, 2012 (10:15pm PDT) / March 20, 2012 (1:15am EDT) is also the first day of Spring – the Vernal Equinox. I always have the urge to start waving a checkered flag and yelling “start your engines” at this time of year. I love it.

This is a great time for beginnings, start ups, what to plant, etc. We should keep our eyes open for opportunities. That Aries impulsive, physical, amped energy can be used to bungee jump off that mountain of ideas and projects you’ve been stewing about all winter. The universe will support you. However…

With unpredictable, eccentric, Uranus visiting this super octane sign, for 7 more years, wildness can result, so pay attention to those urges to “act” – act out or act up.  Action with purpose and focus rather than just because we’re bored is a good way to go. Aries is prone to rushing, risk taking and scattered energies. Think a project through and complete it.  But, don’t forget to have fun. Spring has arrived and everyone can use a little bit of controlled craziness every once in awhile.

As always, those most affected have the Sun and/or Rising sign in Aries, but the rest of us will still feel the feisty influences somewhere in our lives depending upon where the Fire sign appears in our chart.

The Moon visits the ambitious, status concerned Earth sign of Capricorn on Friday February 17, 2012.  Ruled by Saturn, a Capricorn Moon can be a time of business focused, deliberate movement. It brings out the “administrator” in us – a perfect time to organize, assign tasks, give directions, take charge, move with purpose.

Early Sunday we go from duty bound stoic to friendly rebel – the unpredictable, freedom loving Air sign Aquarius. While under this Uranus ruled sign’s influence, we are in the mood to do something inventive and spontaneous usually with a group. Rally the troops for a favorite cause – they will bow to your command -maybe not quite, but they should be more agreeable than usual. Sort of like those fish (pike?) that don’t wait to be caught, they just jump into your boat. I personally feel that people want to be useful, to make a difference. This is the perfect weekend to herd  a team in the right direction.

Most of the weekend belongs to an ambitious, focused Capricorn Moon. Ruled by Saturn, the planet of boundaries and life lessons (not always fun, but can be maturing) use this sign’s serious, organized and authoritarian energy to  accomplish, complete and be in charge. On Sunday night, January 22, 2012,there will be change when the Moon moves into the next sign, friendly, unpredictable Aquarius.

The Sun is already in the 11^th sign of the Zodiac and when the Moon is visiting too, the Moon is called “New”. The 10 or so days following a New Moon is a great time to start a project, begin a class, create a masterpiece, etc. Power and possibilities for this Uranus ruled Air sign usually involves something to do with groups, or, something revolutionary- quite often both at the same time. Regardless, it will speak to Aquarian independence and love of the different.

The symbol for the 11^th sign of the Zodiac is the “Water Bearer”, don’t be confused, Aquarius is definitely an Air sign ruled by the unpredictable, unconventional, undeniably radical Uranus. It’s all about independence, resentment for all “ties that bind”, sudden changes of direction and thinking “outside of the box”.  What a way to start the New Year!

Risking, being on the edge, or ledge, is often part of the Aquarian way of being in the world – sounds intense, but it’s done with humor. Their essence is great to spread around especially when there are important, life changing concerns to address. If you’re intent upon enrolling people into saving the world, you might as well have fun doing it.

Sun into Aquarius – Friday January 20, 2012, 11:10 am Eastern/ 8:10 am Pacific

On Friday July 15^th, the Sun is in Cancer, the Moon is lit up in the opposite sign, Capricorn– it’s that Full Moon time again! This matters to us why? Contrary to popular folklore, a round Moon is not a time for a werewolf/Vampire reveal, but it is a good time to tap into its energy. 

The Zodiac sign that houses the “Full” lunar orb has its traits and characteristics heightened for a few weeks. Saturn ruled Capricorn has ambitious leanings. It’s about status, authority and work. Career means what – to you? Success means what – to you?  Are your actions producing results? However, if there are any radical changes that need to be handled, wait until the Moon Phase is “New” on July 30th. (A New Moon works well for beginnings.)

Later that same afternoon, 1:40PM Pacific / 4:30PM Eastern, the Moon moves into Uranus ruled, freedom loving Aquarius. A definite change of mood. Friday June 17th- it’s a work focused Capricorn Moon all day.  Following the rules, taking a serious approach to the business at hand can all be part of this Earth sign’s M.O.– but,  it’s still the start of the weekend. Be nice to your employees, loosen up, smile. They will love you even more if you let them work ½ a day 😎
