1st Mercury Retrograde Of 2015 (Until 2/11)
Just a reminder: Mercury Retrograde, which began on 1/21/15, lasts until 2/11/15. The Communication planet stopped motion and appeared to go backwards in the sky in the unpredictable, revolutionary, group oriented, Air sign of Aquarius. The areas of life affected are the usual Mercury influenced things – speaking / writing, travel, transportation, education, manual dexterity, small electrical gadgets, etc. With Aquarius, ruled by erratic, eccentric Uranus, in the mix, personal interaction misunderstandings and technical snafus are even more prone to happen. As mentioned in a previous post, some preparation can help. Back up, double check, confirm. Try to avoid disasters and mayhem with diligence and care until the winged planet goes Direct again.
Organization is key. Copy your files now, locate the chargers (make sure they still work for the gadgets your have), set aside extra ink for the printer, check the batteries in the pacemaker, make sure the bills are paid, etc. Don’t create problems because of carelessness.
As always, Mercury Retrograde is a good time to make future plans, complete projects and of course to exercise all those “re” actions: re evaluate, re write, re assess, re acquaint, re fresh. Take the time to pause and reflect, rather than jump into new schemes, new contracts, etc.
However, life happens regardless of what planets are doing. Be present, be aware and we will get through to the other side, again.

Aquarius Sun 1/20/15 – Freedom & Revolution Rules!
The symbol for the 11th sign of the Zodiac is the “Water Bearer”, it may be confusing, but Aquarius is definitely an Air sign ruled by the unpredictable, unconventional, undeniably radical planet Uranus. It’s all about independence, the resentment of all “ties that bind”, a love of sudden changes of direction and thinking “outside of the box”. What a way to start the New Year!
Aquarius has a stubborn streak. It is one of three “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, along with Taurus and Scorpio. While the urge to stand ground and refuse to follow along are all present, give attention to another trait which is the desire to contribute to the universe in some way. Groups, other people and their causes are a natural concern for Aquarius. (It is about “We/Us” rather than “I/Me.) There is determination to resolve issues that are deemed important. Regardless of your birthday, we can all tap into those vibrations as the Sun intensifies this sign’s influences.
And, just to add some additional spice, there will be planets transiting the 11th sign: Mercury will add its cleverness and communication / networking expertise until March 12, 2015 (just remember that it will go into Retrograde motion on 1/21/15. Be clear in speech and written word when rallying your team.) Venus’ visit, until January 27, 2015, can add a calm and a sweetness to fiery rhetoric, solidifying relationships in the midst of revolutionary zeal. If you’re intent upon enrolling people into saving the world, you might as well have fun doing it.

Aries Full Moon 10/8/14 – Hold On…
This month’s Full Moon, a total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon), is in Fire sign Aries. The 1st sign of the Zodiac is ruled by “Warrior” planet Mars. Combustible, physical and aggressive, this sign’s usual “in your face” traits will be intensified by the power of a “Full” phase and also by unpredictable transiting Uranus. Even though currently retrograde, until 12/21/14, it still can be full of surprises and urges for revolution.
Do the suggested Full Moon things – finish up old projects, clarify any fuzzy ideas that keep hanging around (remember Mercury is Retrograde now, so this is a good time to review). Use the extra Aries energy and take action. By clearing out useless stuff, you create space for the “new” ideas, things, spaces, people. However, forceful Aries can be a little over the top sometimes. Don’t torch everything while trying to weed out the old, think things through before the ashes start to float around.

Full Moon in Ambitious Capricorn!
The Moon is in Capricorn today – it’s all about status, authority and work. To make these traits even more intense, the Lunar orb will be “Full” in this Saturn ruled sign on Saturday July 12, 2014. (The Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is lit up with reflected light in its opposite sign.) Our thoughts lean towards managing career, long term goals, creating success (whatever that means to you) and reaching for the top. Are your business strategies, actions producing results? Full Moon in Capricorn is a good time to think about it and then take any needed action when the Moon is in its “New” phase, 7/26/14.
Later this weekend, the Moon will be in Uranus ruled, freedom loving Aquarius. The 11th sign of the Zodiac urges us to be unconventional, unpredictable and unwilling to conform. If you’re going to rebel, make sure that there is substance.
Have a marvelous weekend!

Aquarius Sun – A Walk On The Wild Side!
The Sun enters unpredictable, independent Aquarius on Sunday January 19, 2014 – but not necessarily wild and crazy. It doesn’t have to be outrageous and out of the box, however, we can be original, inventive and sometimes revolutionary when under the influence of the Airy, 11th sign of the Zodiac. Don’t be surprised, Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of sudden changes and unexpected events. We can all tap into these vibrations regardless of our personal Sun sign.
Aquarians tend to be more intellectual than emotional, with a concern for others that is authentic and matter of fact. A stubborn, people oriented sign, they care, they are involved and they can be pretty determined to find resolutions to issues that touch them. All about team, caring about neighbors and the community is the Aquarian way of being. We may feel an urge to join a rally, march and protest for any cause deemed to be just.
Freedom loving Aquarians are great to have around. Taking risks, being on the edge, or ledge – sounds intense, but it’s done with humor. If you’re going to spend time enrolling people into saving the world, you might as well have fun doing it.

BTW: don’t get confused – even though the Astrology symbol is the “Water Bearer”, Aquarius is an Air sign!
Weekend Aquarius Moon 11/8/13
Use Friday and Saturday’s Aquarius Moon and take advantage of the rebellious, independent urges that this Uranus ruled, unpredictable Air sign creates to explore new places, new things, new people, new ways of thinking. The aloof and intellectual 11th sign of the Zodiac is naturally group focused and concerned with contributing to the community. Get involved.
On Sunday night, the Moon moves into sensitive, impressionable, Water sign Pisces. Don’t let “feelings” overwhelm you or lose your grip on the real. Neptune ruled Pisces is often dreamy and imaginative. Keep grounded.
Have a great weekend!
Aquarius Moon This Weekend – Think “Unexpected”
If preparing for the unexpected makes you nervous, just think of the fun you can have. Beginning Saturday, 10/12/13, the Aquarius Moon gives us an opportunity to let go of convention, do some “out of the box” thinking, focus on the welfare of others and be a little rebellious.
Air sign Aquarius has a stubborn streak (it is one of three “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, along with Taurus and Scorpio) and is ruled by the unpredictable planet Uranus. It’s all about independence, sudden changes of direction, etc. Relax, go with the flow. Give more attention to another Aquarian trait which is contributing to the universe in some way. Groups, other people and their causes are a natural concern. Not a bad way to spend a weekend – be spontaneous, share yourself.
Enjoy!
Full Moon in Revolutionary Aquarius – Free Spirit!
Independent, unconventional Aquarius gives us a Full Moon on Tuesday August 20, 2013 with possibilities of spontaneous change, community activism, group fun with a purpose and just contribution in general. And since it is the second Full orb in Aquarius in the last 30 days, previously Full in the 11th sign of the Zodiac on July 22, 2013, this Moon is called “Blue”. (It only occurs every 2 or 3 years.)
Uranus, this Air sign’s planet ruler, hates constrictions and thrives on the unusual, which can be exciting but precarious. Thinking before you act works. You can still volunteer, organize, make a difference, do the “No Justice, No Peace” chant without falling off the edge.
FYI – During a “Full” phase, the luminaries are exactly opposite each other. The Aquarius Moon is fully lit by the Leo Sun. (Beautiful, dramatic, nothing to fear.)
Full Moon in Aquarius 7/22 * Radical Change?
The revolution may be televised or not – but there will certainly be unusual, unconventional activity whenever the Moon is Full in the 11th sign of the Zodiac. Independent, group focused Aquarius can be a stubborn sign with an affinity for causes. Before jumping to the front lines, pause and reflect – is the issue real for you, or is the response automatic / knee jerk.
With a Full Lunar orb in this sign, Aquarian influences may be felt more intensely. Uranus, this independent Air sign’s planet ruler, loves change, hates constrictions and thrives on spontaneity, which can be exciting but precarious. Thinking works. You can still volunteer, organize, make a difference, do the “No Justice, No Peace” chant without falling off the edge. (Put that flame thrower back in the closet.)
(As I’ve mentioned before, at “Full” phase, the Moon is opposite the Sun and is in its “waning” phase on its way to the 3rd and 4th quarters, therefore, it is a good time to clean up and finish old projects.)
Full Moon – Monday July 22, 2013, 2:53PM EDT / 11:53 AM PDT
Aries Sun & Vernal Equinox = Spring, Yay!
On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 the Sun moves into the dynamic first sign of the Tropical Zodiac – fiery Aries. The Sun has transited all 12 Astrology signs and the cycle starts anew. We also celebrate the Vernal Equinox on the same day – 1 degree of Aries. Spring is here with new, fresh chances to bloom!
Fire sign Aries’ impulsive, physical high energy can be used to springboard those ideas and projects that have been percolating all winter. Just to add to the excitement, powerful planets will be visiting Aries for the next few weeks, thereby sparking an extra oomph to this already “snap, crackle and pop” sign.
Planet ruler Mars (the Warrior planet), transiting since 3/12 will remain until 4/20/13. Speed, competition, confrontations lure us. Realize however, we can use any over abundance of aggression for accomplishment, positive action. Do something useful. Will the Love and Beauty planet Venus, in Aries until 4/15, embrace Mars and turn all that passion in another direction – it’s possible. We will certainly be more inclined to choose the “one” and zero in – could be much fun.
Mercury is in Aries too from 4/14 until 5/2/13. Communication may have more quickness, edge and bite – you’ll be great in debates? Create powerful tweets? (Just watch the snark.)
And last, but not least, please note that unpredictable, non conformist Uranus is transiting super octane Aries until March 2019 and wildness may occasionally break out. Sudden urges to “act” – out or up – will be hard to resist at times. However, action with purpose and focus, rather than just because we’re bored is a good way to go. Aries is prone to rushing, risk taking and scattered energies. Think a project through and complete it. But, don’t forget to have fun. Spring has arrived and everyone can use a little bit of controlled frolicking every once in awhile.

FYI – March 20th is also designated as “International Astrology Day”. Always observed on the Equinox, it is a celebration of the ancient art of Astrology.
