Then late evening, settle down with the practical, determined Taurus Moon for the rest of the weekend. This Earth sign is ruled by Venus, so along with a little stubbornness, there will be romantic and luxe tendencies.  Have a lovely champagne and chocolates time wherever and whenever you can. Be obstinate only when it really matters.

If you need to get something done, start and end early on Friday June 24, 2011. The fiery, energetic, aggressive influences of Mars ruled Aries will last until 6:07 PM Eastern/ 3:07 Pacific and then the Moon goes Void of Course until Saturday afternoon. All those “lets go get’em” vibes can lose clarity and focus which can lead to lots of action, but very little finish. Wait, if you can, until the Lunar orb moves into the next sign – Taurus, 4:53PM Eastern/ 1:53PM Pacific on June 25^th.

Lasting until Monday morning, the practical, stubborn Taurus Moon can assist in completing what Aries started. This Earth sign is ruled by the lovely Venus – that old saying about catching more with honey, than vinegar (something like that) can be quite effective when finalizing a deal, cajoling a signature, nailing down a commitment. Be gracious while accomplishing. Charm works!

FYI:  “Void of Course” or VC or VOC –     As I’ve mentioned in this space before, “Void of Course” – means that the Moon position creates no aspects (relationships/connections) to the Sun or planets while on its way into the next sign.  A Moon without “aspects”, can be a time of vagueness and doubt.  The consensus among Astrologers is to “not start anything”.  Finishing projects that began before the “VC” can be handled and completed, but avoid initiating during this uncertain time.

All day Friday and Sunday, 5/27 and 5/28, we will feel the influence of the Aries Moon.  This aggressive, impatient Fire sign is ruled by the planet Mars – the unofficial patron saint of warriors.  Arian Moons are great for action rather than mental activity, but still a good time to initiate, take charge- just think it thru and go for it. Use the physicality to burn off any anger or frustration that might be lurking.

All day Sunday and Holiday Monday, 5/29 and 5/30, the Taurus Moon turns our thoughts to money – again. But, since this Earth sign is ruled by Venus, getting close to love and luxury will also be in the air. Beautify self and surroundings. Venus, the planet of love (and finances), ruler of both Taurus and Libra, began its backward move in the sky on Thursday October 8, 2010 while in Scorpio.

Making note of Venus Retrograde can be useful since this planet only goes backward every year and a half (unlike Mercury which is at least 3 times per year) – we pay attention. How does it affect us? As always, it depends specifically on the individual chart, but the influence will be felt by all.

Venus rules the 2^nd House in the Astrology chart: what we value/how we really feel about money, love and relationships, possessions. Retrograde motion can cause confusion and uncertainty so this is always a good opportunity to review, realign, re evaluate, reconsider and with Venus it’s no different.

Look over finances (What budget?) re think contracts, think about THE relationship, (Is it a love that will last forever? Do you want it to? Has the intensity changed? Do you need to re assure someone about your undying…?). By the time Venus goes forward again on November 18, in its home sign of Libra, some questions will be answered, a course of action will be clearer, etc.

Just hold off taking action during the actual Retrograde period if you can. Venus going Direct will lend its support to your decisions.  For instance: A- Do you really want to buy that?  B- A wedding date after November 18 may lessen any “Bridezilla/Groomzilla” happenings 🙂

On Friday 9/24 we feel the effects of the active, aggressive Aries Moon. As always, there are planetary happenings, depending upon the individual chart, that might make this sign’s warrior sentiments more intense – keep a lid on your temper. Leave the flamethrower in the closet. (Kind of hard to walk back that type of conflagration no matter how many times you say “sorry, my bad”.)

On Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, the pace changes as the Moon moves into security minded, comfort loving Taurus.  Celebrate Fall / Indian Summer.  This new season is a good time to go over finances and watch the leaves change color.  Taurus – find the beauty, while watching your cash. Makes sense to me.

Mercury, our communications planet, went Retrograde on April 18 and will go direct again on May 11, 2010. The backward movement will start and end in the sign of Taurus.

Since it occurs in this fixed, Earth sign, all the usual snafus and/or confusion attributed to a Mercury Retrograde period will have Taurean themes: money, possessions, what we value most. Are there investments, savings plans, IRAs, big expenses to take a look at? As always, retrogrades are good times to review, re invent, re think, (re balance that check book). Any communications about money – make sure the dollar amounts add up, contracts are clear, precise.

BTW: The Retrograde “re” suggestions– review, rewrite, etc – are not really for going backwards into the past but for changes, re evaluations for the future.

The sign of Taurus will be hosting 2 high powered planets- Venus and Mercury- for several weeks at the end of March/beginning of April, 2010. Planet transits vary in length adding energy to a sign and can impact the individual wherever it falls in their chart. Taurus is a very dependable, practical sign that respects money, hates debt, loves beauty and comfort.  To paraphrase a line from my favorite musical “Westside Story” – “Who knows…Somethin’s coming and it’s gonna be great”.

Venus rules the sign of Taurus and glides in on Wednesday March 31 until April 25, 2010.  Often referred to as the planet of love, Venus is all about relationships and is very comfortable in this sign. Think peace, love, good food and budget talks with a significant other?  (Or, a close family member.)

Mercury, the usually speedy communications planet, moves into Taurus on April 2 until June 10, 2010. During this time frame, the planet will slow its pace and go retrograde on 4/18 – it will stop going backward and go direct again on 5/11/10.  Earthy, grounded Taurus will bring weight to the quick, “chatty Kathy” Mercury. Use this time to think things through – to change your mind if need be.
