Beginning Friday December 27, 2013, until Sunday, the Moon is solidly in the middle of Scorpio drama, intensity and determination. Anything you want to find out? Search for anyone, uncover a mystery? The Scorpio Moon provides the determination and energy to discover and handle truths. Secrets are not safe from this Pluto ruled Water sign. No hiding allowed. It translates to an unwillingness to coast, “go along to get along”, etc. Some feathers may be ruffled, but the impulse to drill deep and get to the bottom of whatever will be hard to deny.

Early Sunday morning, it’s all about Sagittarius. When the Moon bounces into this Jupiter ruled Fire sign, we tend to be upbeat, friendly risk takers. It’s all good, everything is possible, a “yes” attitude. Fun Sagittarian energy – great time to do something, be something, learn something – and enjoy it!

Most of us will have an early weekend start due to the Holiday. Below is a heads up about where the Lunar orb will be and what influences we may experience as we celebrate:

Thanksgiving / Hanukkah (begins Wednesday at sundown)  Moon is in relationship central Libra, so whether you will celebrate either/or (both?), this Venus ruled Air sign is perfect for social gatherings, sharing abundance, setting a beautiful table.

Weekend:  Beginning Friday evening the Moon will be in determined, focused, take no prisoners Scorpio (it’s ruled by Pluto). This can be great for scoping out sales or just corralling a significant other into a secret rendezvous. Regardless, Scorpio’s passion and Water sign emotions can be put to good use.

The Lunar orb is in Water sign Scorpio this weekend (along with the Sun). A “New” Moon and a Solar Eclipse, on November 3, 2013, occurring in the same sign, makes the caution “hold on”, excellent advice – power and passion can go off the charts. Moderation works. Going deeper may reveal things that you don’t want to see or hear. However, New Moons are great for beginnings, initiating plans. The 8^th sign of the Zodiac gives us the fire power to be focused, persistent and determined. For the next 2 weeks, seize the opportunity and go after what you want. (Just remember that Mercury Retrograde, in Scorpio, doesn’t end until 11/10/13) Have a meaningful weekend!

Mercury Retrograde in the emotional, water sign of Scorpio begins on October 21, 2013. Yes, it’s the last one of the year. Back up your stuff! Don’t let carelessness or lack of focus bite you in the nether regions. Mercury, (planet of communications, transportation, education, manual dexterity) stopping and then moving backwards in the sky is not a tragedy, but it can get in the way of things running smoothly. So, just in case – pay attention. Make sure loose ends are tied. We will get thru these potentially dicey 3 weeks once again.

As always, use this time to review or revisit projects. Don’t go overboard, especially with the Retrograde occurring in “dig deeper” Scorpio, the 8^th sign of the Zodiac. Its natural intensity is a great opportunity to research, re calculate, re think. Does the plan make sense? Was anything missed? Are there any monetary, financial recounts necessary? When Mercury goes Direct on November 10, things will gradually become unstuck as the planet picks up speed. You’ll be able go forward with anything you may have discovered.

BTW: Mercury just “appears” to go backwards. Planets only move forward, however, due to the earth’s orbit around the Sun, the positions are such that it looks like a reverse motion from earth.

Friday and Saturday, it will be in charming Libra. Sunday afternoon, thru Tuesday, we’ve got intense Scorpio. Air sign Libra and Water sign Scorpio are very different in their influences on us, however, squeeze the positive out of each, even though the “tone” of the day will change. Variety can be a good thing.

Social, agreeable, partnership focused Libra. The 7^th sign of the Zodiac fosters not only beauty and creativity, due to the influence of its planet ruler Venus, but also seeks a natural balance in the universe – harmony with people and harmony in the home.

Intense, emotional Scorpio will demand that you connect with others on a deep level. Ruled by powerful Pluto, this 8^th  sign’s focus and determination can lead to uncovering mysteries, peeling back layers – revelations?! However, be self aware – if your speech or actions turn into drama for drama’s sake – ease up. Take a breath.

Scorpio New Moon & Solar Eclipse: November 13, 5:08 PM EST / 2:08 PM PST

Mars: Warrior planet, ruler of Scorpio (and Aries), high energy spark plug of the universe will be transiting sizzling, sensual, seductive Scorpio for 6 weeks beginning Thursday August 23, 2012. Heat squared!

Well, just an FYI – The red planet is very comfortable in the 8^th sign of the Zodiac and may just unleash any passions that have been kept under wraps until now. Focus becomes laser-like, the need to WIN becomes fierce (do not play Go Fish or checkers with children), the object of your affections will know that they are the object of your affections and “temperament” will be spelled with a capital “T”. Hmmmm

Of course, the intensity is dependent upon where Mars falls in the birth chart and whether Scorpio is the Birth and / or Rising sign, however, intense Martian energy will surround us all. Keep breathing, stop and pause before totally succumbing to a tantrum or hissy fit. Power and passion can surely be used in beneficial, joyous ways.

Beginning Friday evening, we will be under the influence of a powerful, determined Scorpio Moon. Things get even more intense this weekend as the Lunar orb goes into its “Full” phase on Saturday night, May 5, 2012.  The 8^th sign of the Zodiac is a sensual, sensitive Water sign and the force of the Full Moon can distill all of its passion into a cauldron of “feelings”. Tuck in all exposed nerves. Pause before responding to slights or barbs, (real or imaginary). The comment or action that brought you to either anger or tears may not have been as snarky as imagined. Instead, use that Scorpio sizzle and passion to rock someone’s world in a delightful way. 

Scorpio pushes us to focus on money matters that may involve others. Are there any financial issues that need to be cleared or settled– taxes, business ventures? During a Full Moon, gauge what has been accomplished so far and move to finalize, complete tasks in the next few weeks. (Sort of a”what have I done?” and “what’s next”.)
