Work or Revolt? Weekend Moon in Capricorn, then Aquarius
Most of the weekend belongs to an ambitious, focused Capricorn Moon. Ruled by Saturn, the planet of boundaries and life lessons (not always fun, but can be maturing) use this sign’s serious, organized and authoritarian energy to accomplish, complete and be in charge. On Sunday night, January 22, 2012,there will be change when the Moon moves into the next sign, friendly, unpredictable Aquarius.
The Sun is already in the 11th sign of the Zodiac and when the Moon is visiting too, the Moon is called “New”. The 10 or so days following a New Moon is a great time to start a project, begin a class, create a masterpiece, etc. Power and possibilities for this Uranus ruled Air sign usually involves something to do with groups, or, something revolutionary- quite often both at the same time. Regardless, it will speak to Aquarian independence and love of the different.
Have a terrific weekend!
FYI: New Moon in Aquarius arrives on Sunday, 11:39PM January 22, 2012 (PAC) / 2:39AM January 23, 2012 (EST).
Astrology: New Moon in Relationship Focused Libra 9/27/11
As I mentioned when the Sun entered the 7th sign of the Zodiac back on 9/23 – the Libra New Moon occurs early in the morning of Tuesday 9/27 and there will be 5 planets residing in this Air sign – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Sun and Moon. This could be an amazing time full of charming interactions, relationship building and sparkling creativity.
“New” happens each month when the Sun and the Moon are in the same sign. It is a great time for beginnings of any kind. Lovely planet ruler Venus, remains until 10/8/11, encouraging and powering up all Libra traits. “New” in this social sign can mean new: friends, relationships, partners, contracts, etc. (Blind date? Speed networking/business card exchange party?) Regardless of what, there will be smiles and cooperation.
Saturn, planet of hard work and limitations, will be in Libra until October 2012. Are there fixes, adjustments to be done with those that are held close or at a distance? Saturn may constrict some of the natural Libra relaxed ease with people, but it can also give strength and focus – not to give in to an opposing point of view just to be agreeable. Making decisions can be faster than usual.
Astrology: Sun into Social Libra 9/23/11 – Fall is Here!
The Fall / Autumnal Equinox arrives the same day as the Sun saunters into Libra on Friday September 23, 2011. Relationships of all types are now in the forefront – family, friends, marriages, business partners. It’s fun to be with people, to chat, flirt, laugh. The 7th sign of the Zodiac, ruled by Venus, loves beautiful things, wants to be in the midst of music, art and charm filled situations – wants all the good stuff to warm and lift the spirits. My suggestion for anything Libran is always: meet some fun folks for brunch!
Even if it isn’t your Sun or Rising sign, Libra will still cast a glow of congeniality. It’s all about socializing, networking, getting along. There will be cooperation – great time to ask for a raise? build a group of volunteers?
If you have any plans for Tuesday 9/27 – it should be a stellar day. By the time the Libra New Moon occurs early in the morning, there will be 5 planets residing in this Air sign – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Sun and Moon (The Lunar orb in its “New” phase makes it even more potent). Libra’s traits should be powered up and enhanced. Not necessarily a “Kumbiyah” moment – but certainly one in which the joy and solidarity of partnership can be embraced by all of us.
Saturn, the task master, the teacher of life lessons (I still refer to it as the Castor Oil of planets), will be in Libra until October 2012. Is there work to be done with those that are held close or at a distance? Are we going to pretend to be “surprised” if a hitch in a relationship shows up, or will we admit that we saw “it” coming? Saturn can reveal, make us look. Tough scrutiny will give an opportunity to get back on track – a good thing. A situation may get healthier, after taking the medicine, regardless of how awful the taste.
The Libra way is to see both sides of an issue before making decisions. Seeking harmony by trying to be “fair” can sometimes lead to appearing wishy-washy. Using the “Pros/Cons” list method for making decisions can just string the selection process out. Be aware that important action can be stalled by over think. Paying attention to instinct and being honest will give a more direct line to a choice. Don’t hesitate to show your spine when needed (some may be surprised when Libra’s inner tensile strength is revealed), you’ll still be loved!
Libra – Gemstone: Adventurine * Power colors: Blues and violets
FYI : Sun into Libra 9/23 at 5:05AM Eastern / 2:05 AM Pacific. (Next up – Scorpio, 10/23)
The Scale is Libra’s Zodiac symbol. (All other signs are either people or animals)
Astrology: Weekend Full Moon in Ambitious Capricorn,Then Surprising Aquarius 7/15
On Friday July 15th, the Sun is in Cancer, the Moon is lit up in the opposite sign, Capricorn– it’s that Full Moon time again! This matters to us why? Contrary to popular folklore, a round Moon is not a time for a werewolf/Vampire reveal, but it is a good time to tap into its energy.
The Zodiac sign that houses the “Full” lunar orb has its traits and characteristics heightened for a few weeks. Saturn ruled Capricorn has ambitious leanings. It’s about status, authority and work. Career means what – to you? Success means what – to you? Are your actions producing results? However, if there are any radical changes that need to be handled, wait until the Moon Phase is “New” on July 30th. (A New Moon works well for beginnings.)
Later that same afternoon, 1:40PM Pacific / 4:30PM Eastern, the Moon moves into Uranus ruled, freedom loving Aquarius. A definite change of mood. The 11th sign of the Zodiac is graciously service oriented, but unconventional, innovative and unwilling to conform. Prepare to say “I’m surprised” a few times and then think about it.
Have a marvelous weekend!
Astrology: Weekend Moon – Steady Capricorn and Rebel Aquarius, Mmmm
Friday June 17th- it’s a work focused Capricorn Moon all day. Following the rules, taking a serious approach to the business at hand can all be part of this Earth sign’s M.O.– but, it’s still the start of the weekend. Be nice to your employees, loosen up, smile. They will love you even more if you let them work ½ a day 😎
Early Saturday, the Aquarian Moon takes over until Monday morning. Air sign Aquarius has a stubborn streak (it is one of three “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, along with Taurus and Scorpio) and is ruled by the unpredictable planet Uranus. It’s all about independence, the need to break free of routine. Prepare for the unexpected, the unconventional and/or sudden changes of direction. Perhaps “prepare” is not the right word? Just be flexible and ready. Relax, go with the flow. Could be fun.
Have a super weekend and Happy Father’s Day !!
Astrology: Moon in Capricorn & Aquarius – A People Weekend!
The Earthy Capricorn Moon is perfect for wrapping up business projects on Friday and Saturday. You’ll be in a responsible, take charge mode so that tasks get done, work gets delegated. Ruled by serious planet Saturn, use the ambitious, capable energy of this 10th sign of the Zodiac well.
The rhythm changes on Saturday evening, May 21, 10:32Pm Eastern / 7:32Pm Pacific, with the moon’s slide into the caring, group focused, unpredictable, Uranus ruled, Air sign of Aquarius. Volunteer, organize a community, find a cause, share yourself. You can still do some good and have fun.
BTW: On the same day, the Sun bounces into another Air sign, Mercury ruled Gemini. Expect the weekend to be a bit peppier than the previous few days. Call, tweet, chat up your friends – communication is everything.
Have a marvelous weekend!
Astrology: Weekend Moon – Capricorn, Then Aquarius, Variety!
Early Friday April 22 gives us a business focused, responsible Capricorn Moon. The urge to be in charge, the urge to get things accomplished, the urge to work hard – all with the deliberate movement of this Earth sign.
An Aquarius Moon on Sunday ends the weekend on an unpredictable, but upbeat note. This Air sign is into group activities, volunteering, service to and/or organizing others. Contribution is always a good thing – gives a great start to the week ahead.
If you can, use the energy of the Zodiac sign the Moon is visiting on a particular day:
Saturn ruled Earthy Capricorn – Authority, ambition, organized
Uranus ruled Airy Aquarius – Friendly, innovative, comfortable in groups with a cause
Regardless, deliver your best self as always, have a super weekend!
BTW- Mercury finally goes Direct on 4/23. This forward motion for the communication planet, after the 3 week Retrograde situation, may show up with solutions for stalled projects, the unlocking of writer’s blocks, a miraculous self repair for computers, smart phones, etc? Ah, life is smooth again! (Well, as much as it can be)
Astrology: Romance & Business-Venus in Capricorn * A Good Fit?
Last week, February3rd/4th, the lovely planet Venus, (ruler of Libra and Taurus) gracefully floated into the 10th sign of the Zodiac – Capricorn. This Earth sign is noted for its affinity to business – ambition, authority, practicality- ruled by boundary maven planet, Saturn.
Where does loving, romantic, social, creative Venus fit into all this? I don’t know. But, when I let my imagination run, I can envision high finance maneuvers done with a gentle nudge rather than an aggressive corporate hammer. If your workplace has been akin to a battlefield lately, the planet of love could bring harmony, a willingness to listen to another point of view. No doubt, greed will still be “good”, but maybe there will be more sharing, a generosity of spirit. Nice possibility?
However, don’t expect miracles, this will only last for a few weeks because on March 1, Venus transits into adventurous Aquarius. (Hmmm, Venus into the rebellious Air sign? – interesting, but, that’s a whole other story.)
Astrology: Sun into Pragmatic Capricorn 12/21/10
The Winter Solstice coincides with the arrival of the Capricorn Sun on December 21st (6:39PM East/ 3:39PM West). This Earth sign, ruled by Saturn, is grounded, likes boundaries and loves being in charge.
Regardless of our birthday, we may all feel some ambitious, “being the Boss” Capricorn vibes until January 20, 2011 when we move into Aquarius, so please note that feisty, in your face Mars is visiting Capricorn until January 15th. Be careful with others as you tell them what to do. You can be authoritative with honey, rather than vinegar. Watch your temper.
No need to have a system let down after all the holiday spirits. Capricorn can keep us busy, accomplished and sensible. Re-goal yourself (I made this word up), tune up career moves and organize whatever needs to be shaped up. It can be done.
BUT, don’t get bogged down by being too tight, too rigid and/or too cautious. Relax, remember that you have a sense of humor – use it.
BTW: “The winter solstice occurs exactly when the Earth’s axial tilt is farthest away from the sun at its maximum of 23° 26′. Though the winter solstice lasts only a moment in time, the term is also a turning point to midwinter or the first day of winter…The seasonal significance of the winter solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days.” (per WikiPedia)
Astrology: Moving Planets – Saturn into Libra Again
Saturn will finally reach Libra again on 7/21/10. This planet went retrograde into Virgo in January and reversed course in May. It has inched its way forward back into the 7th sign of the Zodiac.
Discovered in 1610 by Galileo, I think of Saturn sometimes as the Castor Oil of the planet world. Ancient Astrologers considered it a malefic, but recently, a more positive spin, such as a bringer of life lessons, responsibility, etc. , has been attributed to it–like medicine that tastes awful, but does you good, eventually. (Ugh)
It is now the Libran’s turn, Birth Signs and Ascendants, to experience the planet for grownups. Saturn (transit lasts until 2011) can change this gracious, relationship sign from an indecisive, social coquette to a serious seeker of commitment. Everything must still be lovely and beautiful, partnerships will be highlighted, but with an underlying base of steel mesh, focus, ambition.
This is about boundaries, “reality”, discipline, karma. Yes, there is a heaviness as it transits a sign, but you can get a lot done with Saturn’s “duty bound” attitude, it just isn’t always fun.
BTW: If you have experienced a recent 30/60 year Saturn Return in Libra (the planet returns to the same place in your chart as at the time of birth every 30 years) you may notice the effects too.
