The Sun waltzes into Air sign Libra on Wednesday September 23, 2015 along with the Autumn Equinox (in the Northern Hemisphere). Even if it isn’t your Sun or Rising, the 7^th sign of the Zodiac will still cast a glow. There will be cooperation, genial negotiations and the urge to seek balance in both business and personal relationships. Good things in life are sought after due to the influences of lovely planet ruler Venus – romance, music, delicious food, beauty, graciousness and hospitality. With Mercury transiting Libra until 11/2/15, it should make for even more clever and charming conversation for this very social sign. (Remember, the Communication planet is “Retrograde” until 10/9/15, keep confusion to a minimum by making tweets, emails, texts, etc as clear as possible.)

The Libra way is to see both sides of an issue before making decisions. However, seeking harmony by trying to be “fair” can sometimes lead to appearing indecisive. Or, using the “Pros/Cons” list method for making decisions can just drag the selection process out. Be aware that important, needed action can be stalled by over think. Paying attention to instinct and being honest will give a more direct line to a choice. Don’t hesitate to show your spine when needed (some may be surprised when the Libra inner tensile strength is revealed), you’ll still be loved!

The Virgo Sun spreads its influence over us on Sunday 8/23/15. Regardless of whether it’s your Astrological sign or not, the effects of this practical, efficient, Mercury ruled 6^th sign of the Zodiac will be noticed until 9/23. Adding to the mix is Jupiter, transiting from 8/11 thru 9/9/16, planet of luck, opportunity and abundance. It can add a boost to the Earth sign’s love of productivity – we can accomplish a lot!

Virgo, sign of health, hard work and service also lets us know that it really is all about the details, details, details. If you want to work better/ want better work, put together the little building blocks needed to create something substantial, step by step. We all deserve achievement so why not go after it now (whatever “it” is). Also, implement a good diet / exercise regimen. Feeling better helps you work better.

Beware of over analyzing, getting wrapped up in too many details (traits ascribed to the typical Virgoan). On Saturday and Sunday, 8/8 and 8/9/15, the Moon will be in multi-tasking, Air sign Gemini. We’ll be searching for people to listen to us, read us or both. We got something to say! Ruled by Communication planet Mercury, the 3^rd sign of the Zodiac’s symbol, twins (think Castor/Pollux), is indicative of its dual nature, which can make it a great time to do two things at once – scrabble and crossword, chat and charm, read and write.

The urge to exchange ideas and thoughts, or just gossip, will be strong. Instead of snark, be clever, be smart, be entertaining. Have fun, spread knowledge – teach something, learn something – enjoy the youthful energy that is particularly Gemini.

Good day Sunshine as we all experience the generous, attention seeking, creative and full of a lion’s pride Leo energy for the next few weeks. The Sun will be in the Fire sign that it rules until 8/23/15. Upbeat, dramatic and drawn to the spotlight, when the Sun struts into this regal Fire sign, regardless of your actual birth date, expect to have some fun for the duration of its stay. (Don’t be surprised if there are sudden, unexplained cravings for sparklers, sequins and confetti. Just go with it.)

**BTW: The date when the Sun transits into a sign can fluctuate year to year – from the 19th to the 23rd. If born on one of these days, you are considered a cusp baby – close to two signs- but regardless, there is only one Sun sign in an Astrology chart  (however, the individual will often exhibit a combo of characteristics from both signs).

At last, Mercury Retrograde in Gemini is over, the Air sign it rules. The communication planet is gaining forward speed and we are able to get traction on tech, transportation, information plans, etc. A perfect time to implement ideas that have been percolating or launch stuck projects in these areas. There will be a New Moon in this flexible, versatile 3^rd Zodiac sign on June 16, 2015.

The Moon is considered “New” when the Sun and Moon are in the same Astrology sign. We are urged to begin, initiate and create. On Thursday May 21, 2015, the Sun bounces into the fun, flirty, focus challenged, flexible, flighty third sign of the Zodiac. The natural versatility of Gemini, with its willingness to adapt, keeps the wrinkles, both mental and physical, at bay. While under its influence, we will feel encouraged, regardless of birth sign, to teach, learn, meet and greet, read and write, chat too much/gossip too much and try to be in two places at once (that Castor/Pollux, “twins” thing). And don’t forget travel, whether it be real or arm chair, the search for greener grass will be enticing.

Our social interaction becomes even more important as planet ruler Mercury, (communications, education, short journeys) transits Gemini until 7/8/15. Also, warrior planet Mars (force, impatience, leadership) visits until 6/25/15. This Air sign’s tendency towards smart ass cleverness is legendary – so watch any urges to indulge in snarky, aggressive verbal or twitter smack downs regardless of how amusing you think they might be. The symbol for the 11^th sign of the Zodiac is the “Water Bearer”, it may be confusing, but Aquarius is definitely an Air sign ruled by the unpredictable, unconventional, undeniably radical planet Uranus. It’s all about independence, the resentment of all “ties that bind”, a love of sudden changes of direction and thinking “outside of the box”. What a way to start the New Year!

Aquarius has a stubborn streak. It is one of three “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, along with Taurus and Scorpio. While the urge to stand ground and refuse to follow along are all present, give attention to another trait which is the desire to contribute to the universe in some way. Groups, other people and their causes are a natural concern for Aquarius. (It is about “We/Us” rather than “I/Me.) There is determination to resolve issues that are deemed important. The Capricorn Sun on Sunday December 21, 2014, is the official start of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and is the shortest day of the year. This Earth sign, ruled by stern Saturn, believes in duty, responsibility, and loves being in charge. Regardless of our actual birth date, we may all feel the influences of the ambitious 10^th sign of the Zodiac and get a thrill directing traffic and telling people what to do. Fun for the boss, but maybe not so much for the employee? Remember to be careful with how you treat others, you can be authoritative with honey, rather than vinegar.

After all the excitement and activities of the holidays, there is no need to have an energy let down. As the year’s end approaches, it’s the perfect time to look at what we’ve accomplished in 2014. That lucky old Sun bounces into Sagittarius on Saturday November 22, 2014. Ruled by “more is always best” planet Jupiter, this time of year is about livin’ large, taking chances, everything is great, the million dollar deal is done, “BIG”- ideas, actions, themes. All of this can can be full of adventure and great fun, but aim for “controlled” excess if things seem to be going over the top.

Adding to festivities are transiting planets Mercury and Venus:

Venus (11/16 – 12/10/14) = the planet of love, beauty and grace. The effects of Venus’s pleasure principle can be enhanced and intensified while in Sagittarius. Social networking, flirting, charming encounters are all possible now.

Mercury (11/28 – 12/17/14) = Communication focused, clever, curious and often razor sharp, this planet visit can be great for creativity, sharing knowledge. Teach class, take a class, finally write something that you’ve been thinking about forever. However, watch language as you share YOUR views, no need for the snark or the snippy. Long bouts of verbal testiness is not attractive and can really smother a party.

A Sagittarius Sun wants us to be happy, to be with people, to revel in the abundance of the season. Be an “of course” for abundance, reach for the good things, learn something new, pay attention to your intuition (Sags love a good laugh but they are also wise and can see truth that others don’t) but, just be aware of the edges.
