Start the weekend on Friday September 7th and experience 2 days of a variety loving Gemini Moon. Ruled by the planet Mercury, we will be compelled to communicate – some way, somehow. This versatile Air sign may mean leisurely networking, or active socializing, it can be fun for us and/or just busy – or both. With dual faceted Gemini, the need for flexibility rules. 

In time for Sunday brunch, the Lunar orb moves into it’s sign ruler – watery Cancer. Be prepared to dial it back a bit. The 4th sign of the Zodiac, sensitive, often moody and emotional,  is about protecting and nurturing. (It might be calming after all the Gemini twitting, emailing, voice mailing and FBing of the previous few days 🙂 )

The Sun is in Virgo as of Wednesday August 22. Whether its your birth sign or not, we will all feel the effects of this practical, hardworking, service oriented, Mercury ruled, 6^th sign of the Zodiac until September 22. While being grounded, efficient and responsible, you can make it fun and still get results. If you want to work better and/or want better work, this is an excellent time to put together the building blocks needed to create something substantial.

Beware of over analyzing, getting wrapped up in too many details (traits ascribed to the typical Virgoan). Being over critical and picky, not “seeing the forest for the trees”, suffering bouts of  “paralysis analysis” will just get in the way and slow you down from making improvements, organizing messes (large and small), and just experiencing a general solidness with both feet on the ground. Do those lovely Virgo things – be useful, make a difference, be a contribution.

A Gemini Moon, beginning on Friday, August 10, 2012, will have us searching for people to hear us, listen to us, or read us this weekend. Lovely Venus just moved out of this 3^rd sign of the Zodiac into Cancer and the natural chatty, twittering energy of communication maven Gemini may sharpen and bite a little more than it had been since April 2012 when the loving, charming planet began its transit, so watch your tone. A snippy Twitter or FB post can grow legs and follow you around for a few days. (You’ll have to spend time next week deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing…)

The urge to exchange ideas and deep thoughts, or just gossip, will be strong. Have fun, spread knowledge, teach something, learn something, enjoy the youthful energy that is particularly Gemini.

Saturday and Sunday will have us talking more, writing more, interacting more due to the Moon’s transit of the 3^rd sign of the Zodiac – Gemini.  Ruled by Mercury, the planet of communications, sharp and clever Gemini will not only entertain, but also analyze and discriminate. Even though Mercury just went Retrograde, we will still have a compulsion to share our verbal and/or writing talents. Dial back on the sarcasm and testy wit, be charming and ready for anything new and different.

Friday June 15, 2012 graces us with a Taurus Moon all day. Venus rules this sensuous yet finance concerned Earth sign. You may choose to either tackle that bank statement or, indulge yourself, and partner, with delicious, chocolate dipped strawberries. Remember, not all things are either/or. “AND” can often work very well too 🙂

With the Sun currently in Gemini, the Saturday night switch to a Moon in the same Air sign will stimulate those traits for which this Mercury ruled sign is known. Its duality (the Twins?) can make us clever and versatile and also a little flighty and distracted. Go and chat someone up, but, think before you speak (or push “send” on that email or text).  

Taurus and Gemini Moons can lead us toward a social weekend: delicious food, entertaining conversation, high or low brow literary pursuits.

Sun moves into the 12^th and final sign of the Zodiac – imaginative, impressionable, intuitive Pisces. Since it is a Water sign ruled by Neptune, pay attention to your dreams (keep pen and paper next to your bed to take notes 🙂 ) but stay grounded and connected. Over sensitivity to adverse energy or vibrations is no excuse to drift or try to escape. Be steady, be productive, be creative – which can be great for anyone associated with the arts. As always, those most affected have their Sun and/or Ascendant in Pisces. Note that planets transiting a sign add to the mix. With its ruler Neptune visiting until 2026, traits are intensified and we will probably all have our encounters with the mystical outer planet somewhere in your chart. The practical, no nonsense Virgo Moon on Friday January 13, 2012 can act as a buffer to any nervous feelings due to “triskaidekaphobia”. Focus on the usual concerns of this Mercury ruled Earth sign- health, nutrition, service to get thru the day. I have found that Friday the 13^th is usually a lucky day for me. I don’t think it had anything to do with it being a payday or anything? 🙂  Regardless, I expect good things to happen! 

Early Saturday morning, the Moon glides into luxury loving Air sign Libra and remains there the rest of the weekend. Harmonious Venus casts its spell, and you can fill the days with silk and cashmere quality events if you want – people, conversation, pretty things.

The Moon is in the versatile 3^rd sign of the Zodiac Gemini on Friday, however, its flexibility and people person traits are intensified early on Saturday December 10, 2011 due to the Moon’s Full phase and Eclipse in the same sign. Possibilities of clear, meaningful verbal / written exchanges with the Mercury ruled Air sign are always with us, but with “Full” and Eclipse energy, even more so. 

Lunar Eclipses often make us rush – giving us the urge to finish/complete –whether the urgency is real or imagined.  Resist any push to be hyper or frazzled because Mercury is still Retrograde until December 13^th, so finalizing plans or signing contracts having to do with travel, communications, education might benefit from close scrutiny and review, rather than rushing thru.

Friday November 25, 2011, with both a New Moon and a Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, should be a fun day for a retail extravaganza. Not that you should have one, just that the spirit and energy will be there to support you. Actually, a “New Moon”–is a great time to launch, create, kick-off, start something. Power is amped up with Mercury, communication planet, Venus, the planet of love / beauty, and both luminaries all in perky Sag, can lead to lucky, optimistic times – find the greatest bargain, the perfect gift, the bestest tree, manifest a dream. Or, you can hang out with family and friends – socializing works.

From Saturday afternoon thru Monday, the mood changes as the Moon shifts to serious Earth sign Capricorn. Did you go overboard? Eat too much, spend too much?  Spoke too many “truths” at the dinner table? Don’t waste too much time on regrets. Since this Saturn ruled 10^th sign of the Zodiac needs to be businesslike and productive, focus and decide on what needs to be done – returns? apologies? You can handle it.

But, regardless of whatever out of body behavior may have been exhibited the past few days, don’t mope. Loosen up, stop grinding your teeth, the world is not ending (at least not today).

The Moon is “New” when it’s in the same sign as the Sun (Sun entered Sagittarius on 11/22/11).  Even though the Moon will go on to another sign (Capricorn on Saturday), the supportive “New” energy lasts for approximately 10 days. 

From Friday afternoon, November 18, until Sunday afternoon, we are under the influence of the earthy, discriminating, detail oriented, practical Virgo Moon. Ruled by analytical Mercury, you may notice an inclination to critically focus on details, no matter how small – which might be an irritant to others, but things will get done! (Remember to delegate.) Just watch what you say and how you say it. No need to sear anyone with your critiques.

There are increased feelings of responsibility, duty and service. Catalogue the CD collection, clean closets , write those “to do” lists for next week, re caulk the bath tub, volunteer – work hard, be industrious, offer assistance.

Generally considered a mild mannered sign, Virgo will be spiced up for the next 6 months as the warrior planet Mars settles in for a visit and stir things up. Be picky if you must, but it is the weekend – have some fun.
