Aquarius Sun 1/20/19 – Be The Rebel!

On Sunday, January 20, the Sun rallies in intellectual, independent,  Aquarius. Some get confused since the symbol for the 11th sign of the Zodiac is the “Water Bearer”, but this is definitely an Air sign ruled by the unpredictable, unconventional, undeniably radical planet Uranus. It’s all about independence, sudden changes of direction and thinking “outside of the box”.

Aquarius has a stubborn streak (it is one of 4 “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, along with Taurus, Scorpio and Leo). Ignoring opposition, we may lean into urges to join a rally, organize a march and / or form a protest for any issues deemed to be just by friends, neighborhood groups, etc. Regardless of birthday, we can all tap into those vibrations. It is about “We/Us” rather than “I/Me. The “Revolution” will be televised.

Mercury slips into innovative Aquarius on 1/24/19 and stimulates all forms of communication until 2/9/19. Write down any clever and original ideas percolating to the surface and share. Be clear in speech and written word when motivating your comrades.

Taking risks, being on the edge, or ledge – sounds intense, but it can be done with humor. If you’re going to spend time enrolling people into saving the world, you might as well have fun doing it.

~Sun into Aquarius January 20, 2019 = 4 AM EST / 1 AM PST

~Gemstone: Blue Tiger’s Eye *Power color: Ultramarine blue * Body Part: Legs

~Also – Leo “Blood” Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse (Moon appears brighter due to closeness to the Earth and red color reflects that proximity.)  Full Moon still the best time to finalize projects. Clear space for what’s next.

~Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo:  1/20/19 – 9:16 PM Pacific / 1/21/19- 12:16 AM Eastern

Full Moon in Leo (The Stage Is Set, But, It’s Really NOT All About You)

Lights, camera, action! Wednesday’s Moon on January 31, 2018, will not only be “Full”, it will also be Blue* (as in “once in a blue…”) and it will also be Red** (due to  the Lunar Eclipse).  All happening in dramatic, Fire sign Leo – no better way to heat up, perk up a winter hump day! A “Full” phase intensifies the traits of the sign it’s in and with Sun ruled Leo, (its Zodiac symbol is the glorious King of the jungle) we feel generous, creative and get the urge to flame and sparkle while flitting across the world stage. “Look at me!”.

So step into the spotlight, wear some regal purple, be royally magnanimous to your subjects (friends and family) and have a great time. Also, use the Full Moon’s energy to finish projects begun at the time of the last New Moon (1/16/18). Its considered a fortunate time to take care of loose ends and it will last for about 10 days even as the Moon moves into efficient Virgo on Thursday.

Leo Full Moon / Total Lunar Eclipse:  1/31/18 – 8:27 AM EST / 5:27 AM PST

*Since this is the 2nd Full Moon in the same month, it’s called “Blue”

**Red Moon – due to Lunar Eclipse, Moon appears brighter and blood red– orange in color

Full Moon in Aquarius 8/7/17 * Radical Change?

The revolution may be televised or not – but there will certainly be unusual, unconventional activity as we encounter not only a Full Moon, in freedom loving, group focused Aquarius, but also a Lunar Eclipse. A stubborn, independent cause infused sign, it is all about “We / Us” rather than “I / Me”.

The humanitarian, 11th sign of the Zodiac encourages spontaneous change, community activism, group fun with a purpose and just contribution in general. Before jumping to the front lines, pause and reflect – is the issue real for you, or is the response automatic / knee jerk.  “No Justice, No Peace” – (Love it)

Just a reminder – a ”Full” Moon phase packs power and can give our thoughts clarity. It starts the “waning” or decreasing period, on its way to the 3rd and 4th Moon quarters. This can be a great time to gather and tally results or confront the useless. Clean up old projects, get rid of outmoded thought patterns and attitudes in order to clear the way for the “New” Moon in about 2 weeks.

*Aquarius Full Moon: 8/7/17 – 2:11 PM EDT * 11:11 AM PDT

** Lunar Eclipse:  It’s power increases the possibility of positive change manifesting over the next few months.

Lively Libra Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse 3/23/16

Astro Lunar Eclipse 5

A Full Moon (& Lunar Eclipse) will be in classy, social Libra on Wednesday March 23, 2016. This Air sign is ruled by the lovely Venus and urges us to beautify ourselves, our surroundings and our relationships. Hopefully, the resulting loveliness will make us more inclined to cooperate with partners, seek balance in negotiations, and keep calm in deliberations. It may help us tune out/tone down any negative, angry voices (out there or in our heads) – charm and beauty are always good antidotes.

A ”Full” Moon, Lunar Eclipse phase packs power. It’s a good time to gather results or confront the useless – clean up old projects, get rid of outmoded thought patterns and attitudes in order to clear the way for the “New” Moon on 4/7/16.

*Full Moon in Libra: March 23, 2016 –  8:01 AM EDT / 5:01 AM  PDT

Astro Lunar Eclipse 2

Harvest Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse In Aries, 9/27/15

Astro Harvest_moonThis month’s Full Moon, and Lunar Eclipse (Sun. Earth, Moon are lined up), Sunday September 27, 2015, is in fiery Aries. The 1st sign of the Zodiac is ruled by “Warrior” planet Mars. Combustible and aggressive, spark plug Aries’ usual “in your face” traits may be influenced by transiting Uranus, the unpredictable planet of change and revolution. (It remains until May 2018.) You can be radical, honest and direct, rather than just loud and angry.

Do the suggested Full Moon things – finish up old projects, clarify any fuzzy ideas that are hanging around (remember Mercury is still Retrograde). Use the extra Aries energy to get things done. By clearing out useless stuff, you create space for the new. However, forceful Aries can be a little over the top sometimes. Don’t torch everything while trying to weed out the old, think things through before the ashes start to float around.

* Harvest Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Aries 9/27/15 *10:50PM EDT / 7:50 PM PDT

(The first Full Moon after the Fall Equinox is always labeled a “Harvest Moon” – The Equinox occurred on September 23, when the Sun moved into Libra)

*During a “Full” phase, the luminaries are exactly opposite each other. The Aries Moon is fully lit by the Libra Sun. (The Lunar eclipse provides the reddish color – beautiful, dramatic, nothing to fear.)

Gemini in Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse Mode 11/28/12

It’s ruler Mercury, the Communications planet, is finally out of Retrograde motion as of 11/26 and both a Full Moon and a Lunar Eclipse occur in Air sign Gemini on Wednesday = powerful. The possibilities of clear, meaningful verbal and written exchanges while the Moon is in the third sign of the Zodiac are always with us, but with “Full” / Eclipse energy, even more so.

What do you need to say? What do you need to write?  With Gemini, interaction can be smart and clever, but now while the Luminaries are opposite each other – light from the Sagittarius Sun reflected on the Gemini Moon – it can also be purposeful, powerful and precise. Lunar Eclipses often make us rush (an urge to finish/complete) whether the urgency is real or imagined.  Take your time when finalizing communications or signing contracts. Close scrutiny and review can’t hurt if it’s important. Finish up what was started around the time of the New Moon, 11/13/12.

Gemini Weekend: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse – Words Rule!

The Moon is in the versatile 3rd sign of the Zodiac Gemini on Friday, however, its flexibility and people person traits are intensified early on Saturday December 10, 2011 due to the Moon’s Full phase and Eclipse in the same sign. Possibilities of clear, meaningful verbal / written exchanges with the Mercury ruled Air sign are always with us, but with “Full” and Eclipse energy, even more so.

Lunar Eclipses often make us rush – giving us the urge to finish/completewhether the urgency is real or imagined.  Resist any push to be hyper or frazzled because Mercury is still Retrograde until December 13th, so finalizing plans or signing contracts having to do with travel, communications, education might benefit from close scrutiny and review, rather than rushing thru.

What do you need or want to say? What do you need or want to write?  With Gemini, words can always be clever, but now they can also be purposeful, powerful and precise. Take advantage.

Enjoy a fun, intentional weekend!

I love this quote from Deepak Chopra:

“Language creates reality. Words are magical power. Speak always to create joy”

Astrology: Adventurous Sagittarius Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse, 6/15/11

Good time to finish projects, wrap up/tie up details of any outstanding issues while there is a Full Moon phase.  However, a Lunar Eclipse also occurs at the same time and in the same upbeat Fire sign of Sagittarius on Wednesday June 15th, 4:14PM Eastern/ 1:14PM Pacific. The Sun and Moon are opposite each other, reflecting their lights, and the Eclipse just adds to the power surge for the next few days. You may feel the urge to careen around, checking items off the to-do- list.

Yes, the possibilities of completing or changing things are amped, such as suddenly ending or finishing something that you may have been dithering about for awhile. But, don’t rush – think about it, ruminate and then press “go”. Decision made. Done. Whew.

Expansive, spontaneous Jupiter rules 9th sign of the Zodiac Sagittarius.  We may feel its influences thru spontaneous travel plans, the desire to break free of restrictions (real or imaginary), to share ideas. To be big in everything – optimism works.  Make the most of it, laugh, be adventurous, finish up – get ready for what’s next.

Astrology: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Gemini 12/21

Early this morning a Full Moon occurred: the Luminaries were opposite each other – Sun in the last stages of Sagittarius (Capricorn Sun doesn’t happen until later this evening), while the Moon was in its partner sign of Gemini. At the same time, there was a Lunar Eclipse in versatile, communication focused Gemini.

Possibilities of clear, meaningful verbal/written exchanges with this Mercury ruled Air sign are always with us, but with “Full/Eclipse” energy, even more so. Lunar Eclipses often make us rush – an urge to finish/complete –whether the urgency is real or imagined. Mercury is still Retrograde until the end of December. Finalizing communications or contracts might benefit from close scrutiny and review, rather than rushing thru.

What do you need to say? What do you need to write?  With Gemini, words can always be clever, but now they can also be purposeful, powerful and precise.

Astrology: Full Capricorn Moon With Lunar Eclipse!

On Friday evening 6/25/10, the Moon moved into authoritarian Capricorn for the entire weekend.  And today, Saturday 6/26, the Moon not only becomes “Full”, but there will also be a “Lunar Eclipse”.

I still insist that Full Moons are not the Universes way of giving us an excuse to act out/ freak out, however, a Lunar Eclipse can be intense. All that emotional Moon energy is amped to a higher level.

Since Saturn ruled Capricorn needs to be businesslike and in charge, don’t go overboard during this time. Be nice to your employees, decide on what you want to get done, what you want to accomplish and stick to it. No need to go into “Myth of Sisyphus” mode. Don’t take all the duties of the world on your shoulders. You don’t have to sign off on everything. Loosen up, stop grinding your teeth, the world is not ending (at least not this weekend).

By Monday morning the Moon will be in innovative, unpredictable Aquarius. (Unplanned events are favored.)

Full Moon: Happens when the Sun and Moon are in opposite signs (Sun/ Cancer – Moon/Capricorn)

Lunar Eclipse:  “A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth such that the earth blocks the sun’s rays from striking the moon. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, there is always a full moon the night of a lunar eclipse.” Per Wikipedia
