New Moon in Leo 8/14/15– This Could Be Exciting!
Both luminaries in the same sign means = “New Moon”. The Sun moved into ambitious, generous, enthusiastic Leo on July 22, 2015 and on Friday August 14th, the Moon will also be in the same regal Fire sign. Since this particular Moon phase is always great for beginnings, take it as a sign of encouragement to start something in the next few days. Solar driven joy and confidence bodes well for an active, energetic, creative time. Have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)
This initiating energy lasts for approx 10 days until the Full Moon (finalize, complete projects). As the Zodiac sign changes, a different part of your chart (life) will be impacted. Next up on Saturday morning, Virgo – health, work, service.
Leo New Moon: 8/14/15 – 10:53AM EDT / 7:53AM PDT
Weekend: Nurturing Cancer / Glamorous Leo
All day Friday March 27, 2015, until late Saturday evening, the Moon is comfortable in the sign it rules, caring, cautious Cancer. On Sunday, the Lunar orb sparkles in light seeking, live it up Leo. The weekend is split between these very different Moon energies – make it work.
Water sign Cancer brings feelings and emotions close to the surface. Moodiness could get in the way of what you might enjoy better – the care and feeding of friends, family, strays. Choose.
Life perks up as the Moon jumps into Fire sign Leo. It’s ruled by the Sun, so there is a natural pull towards “shine on me” melodrama and theatrics. It could turn into a hot mess when everyone demands their close up at the same time. Or, it could be loads of fun. Choose.
Have a great weekend!
Full Moon in Leo (But, It’s Really NOT All About You)
Tuesday’s Full Moon, 2/3/15, will be in dramatic, Fire sign Leo – no better way to heat up, perk up a long winter! A “Full” phase intensifies the traits of the sign it is visiting and with Sun ruled Leo, (its Zodiac symbol is the glorious Lion, King of the jungle) we feel generous, creative and get the urge to flame and sparkle while flitting across the world stage. (“Look at me!”).
So take that spotlight, wear some regal purple, be royally magnanimous to your subjects (friends and family) and have a great time. Also, use the Full Moon’s energy to finish projects begun at the time of the last New Moon (1/20/15). Its considered a fortunate time to complete things and it will last for about 10 days even as the Moon moves into practical Virgo on Wednesday.
*Full Moon: February 3, 2015 – 6:09PM EST / 3:09PM PST
Full Moon in Leo, Then Virgo Moon Weekend!
Champagne, chocolates, feathers, sequins, dramatic declarations all work well, regardless of partner, with the attention seeking 5th sign of the Zodiac. For Valentine’s Day, Friday February 14, 2014 the Moon will be on “Full” power in generous, ”let’s have fun” Fire sign Leo. Enjoy it all, but also note that a “Full” phase is good for wrapping things up, finishing what began at the time of the last New Moon. The effects will last for a few days even as the Lunar orb moves on to the next sign, Virgo.
The Moon will be in service oriented, practical Earth sign Virgo Saturday and Sunday. From upbeat Leo to conscientious and ready to tackle the details Virgo – it’s all good. Take advantage of the Full phase’s continued vibe by using this Mercury ruled sign’s cleverness and penchant for detail. You can get things done.
(Just in case I haven’t been clear in my weekend update Astrology posts, my premise is that as the Moon changes signs, so does our moods, our energy and often how we act/react in the day to day.)
Full Moon 2/14/14: 6:53 PM EST / 3:53PM PST
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Get Ready For Full Moon in Cancer!
Wednesday, January 15, 2014, finds us with a Full Moon in the nurturing, sensitive Water sign of Cancer at 11:52 PM EST/ 8:52 PM PST. So, as a “New” Moon is best for beginning projects- starting something new, implementation of ideas – the “Full” phase (Moon opposes the Sun in the sky, as it “wanes” on its way to the 3rd and 4th quarters) is optimum for the finalization of projects, plans, etc.
Cancer is family and home focused, so completing old business may involve where you live – clearing out the old, giving space to the new. Gather up and give away anything no longer useful or positive in your space, whether it be things, feelings or conversations. Good time to get rid of what’s “done and dusted” and move on to what’s next.
FYI: The Moon shifts into regal, Fiery Leo early the next morning, however, “Full” energy remains for approximately 10 days. Crystallization is best done during the final Moon quarters. The circle begins again at the next New Moon phase, January 30th.
Theatrical Leo & Practical Virgo – Be Flexible!
This weekend, the Moon will shift us thru a variety of moods. It’s all good, we can handle it.
The Lunar orb is in generous, dramatic (great for actors), attention seeking, creative Leo on Friday and Saturday, December 20 and 21. Ruled by the Sun, this fun loving Fire sign may add some drama, but we will be active, upbeat, and magnanimous, which can make for a really good time.
On Sunday, the energy changes when the Moon moves into Earthy, service oriented Virgo. Its traits of practicality and responsibility will give focus to doing what is needed. Take care of loose ends, pay attention to the details, handle business – accomplishment is exciting and makes you feel proud:)
Whatever you do, make it a weekend to remember!
“Look At Me” Leo Moon This Weekend!
Saturday and Sunday, 10/26 & 10/27, we are treated to a Fiery Leo Moon and all that it involves. The weekend can be full of fun, largesse, a little bit of showing off and lots of regal generosity of spirit. Enjoy any festivities you find yourself in the middle of whether planned or unplanned. The 5th sign of the Zodiac is ruled by the Sun so a natural drift toward theatrics and melodrama could push thru. Take it in stride.
As you’re surrounded by lights and glittering confetti, just remember that it’s not all about you. Share the spotlight.
Have a sparkling weekend!
Cancer & Leo Moon Weekend- Comfort and Joy!
Call home – Friday Morning, 8/30/13, the Moon moves into its own sign again of Cancer. Its a Water sign and we’re drawn to hearth and home or anywhere we are hanging our hat this weekend. The Moon makes us sensitive and emotional, but don’t rule out the often soothing merits of a good meal. Downplay any moodiness and let Cancer’s kind, nurturing way of being show up.
BTW: Energy change on Sunday afternoon when the Moon struts into the regal, upbeat, attention getting Fire sign of Leo. (Have fun with this. Wear something Gold.)
Have a great weekend!
A Leo New Moon
“New Moon” in Leo on Tuesday August 6, 2013 – both the Sun and the Moon are in the generous, royal sign of Leo. With the Sun as ruler, this Fire sign is all about joyous, confidence. Don’t be surprised if there is a little drama thrown in. Have fun with it if you can.
A New Moon phase is always great for beginnings, take it as a sign of encouragement to start something in the next few days. If you have a project to get off the ground, someone that you need to enroll in your life, a presentation to make – charm and fortune are amped up. The Sun is powerful. Give yourself permission to shine.
