Astrology:Sun Into Aries – Spring is Here! 3/20/11
Spring has sprung! On March 20, 2011 the Sun moved into the dynamic first sign of the Tropical Zodiac – fiery Aries (7:21PM Eastern / 4:21PM Pacific). The Sun has transited all 12 signs and is starting the cycle anew. On this day, we also celebrate the Vernal Equinox – Spring is here with new chances to bloom!
This Fire sign’s impulsive, physical high energy can be used to springboard those ideas and projects you’ve been contemplating all winter. With the lucky planet Jupiter transiting Aries until June 4, 2011, the universe will support you. Just don’t go into a “bigger is better” thing (which is a favorite Jupiter approach to life). Moderation, which is often a struggle for risk taking Aries, would work well now. With unpredictable, non conformist Uranus also visiting – sitting for 7 more years – wildness can result. (Remember, Aries is ruled by the warrior planet Mars)
Mercury is in Aries too until May 15, 2011. Communication may have more quickness, edge and bite – you’ll be great in debates? Since the planet will be Retrograde 3/30 – 4/23, re think/ review any temptation for verbal assaults, even if you’re right. No need to wound.
As always, those most affected have the Sun and/or Rising sign in Aries, but the rest of us will still feel the feisty influences somewhere in our lives depending upon where the Fire sign appears in our chart.
*Aries = Gemstone: Garnet / Power Color: Red, fiery colors (of course)
FYI – March 20th is also designated as “International Astrology Day”. Always observed on the Equinox, it is a celebration of the ancient art of Astrology. (Cupcakes will be served!)
Astrology: Moving Planet – Lucky Jupiter in Aries
It’s baaack! Jupiter, the luck and abundance planet went forward into Fire sign Aries on 1/22/11. It was in this aggressive, impulsive sign for a few months in 2010 and then went Retrograde into watery Pisces. It turned around entering Aries again and will remain until 6/4/11.
Jupiter wants and is ready for “more” of anything (think excess). Aries, ruled by Mars, is the 1st sign of the Zodiac and “first” is what it wants to be in everything. Speculation, feelings of good fortune can get out of hand. Restraint may be hard to come by.
Jupiter (big plans), Aries (volatility) can lead to all kinds of risks, but also achievement. Some “Of course it will work! it can’t fail” ideas work out very well.
Although this is especially significant for those with an Aries Sun or Ascendant, the impact and influence of Jupiter’s placement for everyone else depends upon where (what House) it is transiting now and where it was placed in a chart at the time of birth.
Astrology: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune* Moving Planets- Busy November!
Mars, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Jupiter are busy changing signs, changing direction -from Retrograde (backwards) to Direct (forwards) – and thereby changing planet relationships/connections in our Astrology charts. As always, changing lanes just means paying attention. Never a dull…!
*Communications planet Mercury moved into Sagittarius on 11/8 (Mars is already there). We should notice a sharpening of thought, a quickness of new ideas, an alertness to new opportunities. Take advantage of the possibility of the adventure factor in both thought and deed.
*Imaginative planet Neptune went Direct in Aquarius 11/6. Compassion, giving of self, sensitivity, creativity are traits of this slow moving planet but we must be clear to always distinguish illusion from real. Feelings, reaching out to others – admirable, but, don’t be taken in. And, face what ever it is, escapism will just delay goals.
*Lucky planet Jupiter goes Direct on 11/18 in Pisces. Jupiter lives up to its size, it is the largest of our planets and generates “large” thinking. Bigger is better, optimism blossoms, abundance is a “why not”. Expansion, movement for stalled projects will be noticed, especially as Jupiter reaches full of energy Aries in late January 2011. This can be fun, watch extravagance.
*Romance/ Finance planet Venus goes Direct in its own sign of Libra on 11/18. Relationships, contracts, money decisions were reviewed hopefully during the Retrograde period and now we are ready to take action on any decisions made. (Finally, marriages are good to go!)
*Warrior planet Mars, already in Sagittarius since 10/27 – gives energy along with the sharpness of Mercury to this already active, bright sign. Adventure, risk taking, cleverness, discussions – can be fun times while getting things done. Watch what you say – be kind.
All the above will affect us differently, how strongly we are influenced depends on the individual chart. As always, it’s all good.
Astrology: Moving Planets – Jupiter into Aries June 5, 2010
Jupiter, ruler of the fun loving, philosophical Sagittarius, changes Sun signs on Saturday June 5.
Well, well, well, we are in for some fireworks for the next few months! Jupiter, the Lucky planet, wants and is ready for “more” of anything (think excess). Aries is the 1st sign of the Zodiac and “first” is what it wants to be in everything. With Mars as ruler, this Fire sign’s energy is based on aggression, impulse and “let’s start something, NOW!”. With big Jupiter egging it all on, restraint may be a challenge.
And, let’s not forget that revolutionary Uranus, (electric, unpredictable, considered by some the higher octave of Mercury) popped into Aries on May 27, 2010. The addition of Jupiter will just make life even more interesting.
Jupiter (big plans), Uranus (expect the unexpected) in Aries (volatility) can lead to all kinds of achievement – inventions, scientific breakthroughs- and the urge to be in charge/take control.
Depending upon where Aries is placed in your chart, you might feel that you’re being given a hot foot, or you keep hearing a voice in your head yelling “get up!’, “get up!’. Pay attention.
BTW: Uranus, an outer planet, is usually associated with “groups” rather than the individual, will do a back and forth movement in 2010 – it goes retrograde back into Pisces in August and forward again into Aries in December, where it will remain until 2018.
Jupiter stays in Aries for about 1 year.
Astrology – Moving Planets
Last week, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck, moved into the creative sign of Pisces for the next 12 months – artistic types should have a good time. “More” is always best with this planet, so just be careful about extremes. (Draping the Empire State building in Chartreuse silk may be a bit much/ or not?)
As mentioned in a previous post, Mars is waltzing backward in the sign of Leo until March 10, 2010. Are you feeling sluggish? Do projects, new ideas seem to be stuck in molasses? This is a good time to look over the “actions” you are planning. Think over commitments again – any fine tuning, reevaluation needed?
But, by March, the fiery planet charges forward again with all its potent energy. Hey – we could all use some breakthroughs somewhere!
BTW: Mercury went into direct motion on January 15th. Technical, and communication problems, attributed to this planet’s Retrograde status, should dial down. Computer, telephone and T.V. breakdowns should be kept to a minimum. Although we should always be careful about what we say/write, signing a contract now will have fewer minefields to worry about.
It’s all good!
