Full Moon in Leo, Then Virgo Moon Weekend!

Champagne, chocolates, feathers, sequins, dramatic declarations all work well, regardless of partner, with the attention seeking 5th sign of the Zodiac. For Valentine’s Day, Friday February 14, 2014 the Moon will be on “Full” power in generous, ”let’s have fun” Fire sign Leo. Enjoy it all, but also note that a “Full” phase is good for wrapping things up, finishing what began at the time of the last New Moon. Get Ready For Full Moon in Cancer!

Wednesday, January 15, 2014, finds us with a Full Moon in the nurturing, sensitive Water sign of Cancer at 11:52 PM EST/ 8:52 PM PST. So, as a “New” Moon is best for beginning projects- starting something new, implementation of ideas – the “Full” phase (Moon opposes the Sun in the sky, as it  “wanes” on its way to the 3rd and 4th quarters) is optimum for the finalization of projects, plans, etc.

Astro Moon FullCancer is family and home focused, so completing old business may involve where you live – clearing out the old, giving space to the new. Gather up and give away anything no longer useful or positive in your space, whether it be things, feelings  or conversations. Good time to get rid of what’s “done and dusted” and move on to what’s next.  

FYI: The Moon shifts into regal, Fiery Leo early the next morning, however, “Full” energy remains for approximately 10 days. Crystallization is best done during the final Moon quarters. The circle begins again at the next New Moon phase, January 30th.

Full Moon in Gemini – Communication Works!

Astro Moon FullEarly Tuesday December 17, 2013 a Full Moon will occur. The Luminaries are opposite each other: the Sagittarius Sun in the last stages and the Moon in its partner sign of Gemini. While the Moon is in the versatile 3rd sign of the Zodiac, communication, flexibility and curiosity traits are intensified. Clear, meaningful verbal / written exchanges with the Mercury ruled Air sign are always with us, but with “Full” energy, even more so.

What do you need or want to say? What do you need or want to write?  With Gemini, words can always be witty and clever, but now they can also be purposeful, powerful and precise. I love this quote from Deepak Chopra: “Language creates reality. Words are magical power. Speak always to create joy” Let us all do that!

Taurus Full Moon This Weekend 11/17/13

Astro Moon FullWeekend Moon in Taurus starts Friday November 15, 2013 and this Venus ruled Earth sign’s power will be intensified during the it’s Full Moon phase early Sunday morning.  As always with a “Full”, it is a good time to finish what you’ve started. With the grounded Taurus’ focus on security and the sensual, it makes sense to complete any money dealings and/or improvements to surroundings or self. Beauty and comfort, both financial and physical, is prime.

Later, on Sunday evening, the always moving Moon reaches busy Gemini. This Air sign pushes communication of all kinds. There will be urges to read, chat and tweet (probably all at the same time).

Aries Full Moon, Then Weekend in Taurus

Astro Moon FullThis month’s Full Moon is in the Fire sign of Aries on Friday October 18, 2013. During this Full phase, the Libra Sun is directly opposite and lights the Aries Moon. Rather than the more familiar crescent shape, the Moon is beautifully round. As it “wanes” on its way to the 3rd and 4th quarters, it’s a good time to finish up old projects, clean up messes that you have been staring at for the past few weeks. An Aries Moon is perfect for physical activity. So use the extra energy and get it done! By clearing out useless stuff, you create space for the “new” – ideas, things, spaces, people. However, this forceful sign, ruled by Mars, can be a little over the top sometimes. Don’t automatically use the flame thrower to weed out the old, think things through before throwing it out.

Then as the Venus ruled Taurus Moon arrives early Saturday morning, we have 2 days of practicality, resourcefulness, security mindedness along with leanings toward comfort and beauty. Diverse and all good.

Full Moon in Aquarius 7/22 * Radical Change?

The revolution may be televised or not – but there will certainly be unusual, unconventional activity whenever the Moon is Full in the 11th sign of the Zodiac. Independent, group focused Aquarius can be a stubborn sign with an affinity for causes. Before jumping to the front lines, pause and reflect – is the issue real for you, or is the response automatic / knee jerk. 

Astro Moon FullWith a Full Lunar orb in this sign, Aquarian influences may be felt more intensely. Uranus, this independent Air sign’s planet ruler, loves change, hates constrictions and thrives on spontaneity, which can be exciting but precarious. Thinking works. You can still volunteer, organize, make a difference, do the “No Justice, No Peace” chant without falling off the edge. (Put that flame thrower back in the closet.)

Sagittarius and Capricorn for the Weekend!

Astro Moon FullFriday June 21, 2013, starts off the weekend with a Sagittarius Moon. The possibilities for adventure are endless. Take a short trip, spread a little cheer or have a deep and philosophical conversation about something (an often forgotten Sag trait).

An atmospheric change comes along on early Sunday, with the arrival of a Capricorn Full Moon (reflecting the light of the opposite Cancer Sun). Our thoughts become more deliberate and concerned with ambition, status, financial stability, etc.

Sagittarius Full Moon Holiday Weekend

The Moon moves into the 9th sign of the Zodiac – let’s have an adventure Sagittarius – on Friday afternoon and becomes “Full” in the evening. This is a good thing – we can have fun as we prepare for the holiday weekend. During a Full Moon, the luminaries are exactly opposite each other. The Moon is fully lit by the Sun (in the opposite sign Gemini). Lovely, dramatic, but nothing to fear .

Astro Moon FullA “Full” phase, is a time to look for results– we start to see the end product of what ideas/efforts were begun at the time of the New Moon.  With fiery Sagittarius, we have energy, a sense that “of course good things can happen” and a willingness to go for miracles – which can come in handy when edging a project toward fruition. (The Moon will continue to wane, decrease in size, until we see the Moon in its “crescent” view.)

On Saturday afternoon 5/26, the Moon will slip into the next sign, Capricorn, and remain there until Monday.  You might notice a definite attitude/ atmosphere change. The 10th sign of the Zodiac has a duty, responsibility, authoritarian focus.  Maybe not many laughs, but things will get done

Full Moon in Relationship Focused Libra!

Astro Moon FullThis Air sign’s Moon turns Full early on Wednesday March 27, 2013 reflecting its opposite Aries Sun. Libra Moons can make us cooperative, social with an urge to beautify both ourselves and our surroundings. Good. It will help us tune out/tone down any negative, angry voices out there (or in our heads) charm and beauty – always a good antidote. Be clear in your communications, mean what you say and act accordingly.

As I’ve mentioned in this space before, a”Full” Moon phase packs power and can give our thoughts clarity. It starts the “waning” or decreasing, of the Lunar orb, a good time to gather results or confront the useless – clean up old projects, get rid of outmoded thought patterns and  attitudes in order to clear the way for the “New” Moon on April 10, 2013.

Full Moon in Practical Virgo – Be Healthy!

Astro Moon FullMonday, February 25, 2013 with all its Virgo Full Moon energy inclines us to take care of ourselves and our business. The hard working 6th sign of the Zodiac is about health, service, handling the details and getting things done. Just be careful not to do too many things at once. Juggling might be exciting and a personal test of skills, but don’t go overboard. Think “pace”.

A Full Moon is a great time to finalize whatever vitamin or diet regimen you may have been planning. The universe will support you in being healthy and whole. The influences of this Lunar phase will last for several days even when the sign changes.
