This weekend, 8/7 & 8/8, the Leo Moon entertains us. It will reach its New phase on Sunday. (Both luminaries in the same sign = “New Moon”. The Sun moved into generous, enthusiastic Fire sign Leo on July 22, 2021) The time is great to use the flirty, creative vibrations natural to the 5^th sign off the Zodiac to start a project, enroll a special someone in your life, and / or do an awesome performance. Take all the Solar driven joy and confidence and have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)

The 1^st sign of the Zodiac is a Fire sign, ruled by the warrior planet Mars and when the Moon transits, you probably won’t want to sit around for too long in one place. Take advantage of the energy and do something exciting, do something different.

Rambunctious Aries wants movement, but make no rash moves. Super things can happen as long as feet stay on the ground. Power down occasionally so that loved ones don’t feel that they’re in the presence of a whirling dervish.

Due to the Moon position in the 9^th sign of the Zodiac, Friday and Saturday presents us with cheerful and adventurous possibilities. Jupiter ruled Sagittarius, which is a Fire sign, gives the ok to be upbeat, enthusiastic with expectations of good things.  (The champagne glass is ½ full, not ½ empty sort of attitude.) Take a short trip, spread some cheer, learn something new. Smile.

Early on Sunday morning, March 23, 2014, an atmospheric change comes along as the Moon moves into Earth sign Capricorn. Lasting until Tuesday morning, our thoughts become more deliberate and concerned with ambition, status, financial stability, etc. Be responsible, take charge and accomplish your goals. A New Moon in Sagittarius, Monday December 2, 2013, gets the month off to an upbeat start. Abundance, fun, bigger is best, far reaching ideas, etc. are all part of this Jupiter ruled Zodiac Fire sign.

Launch, create, kick-off, manifest – the New Moon is a great time to start something, especially with the positive, good luck Sag vibe. Of course success isn’t guaranteed, you still gotta do the work, but the universe and lunar energy will support you – which is nothing to sneeze at. Take advantage, work it – but, don’t get too cocky, pay attention to the details.

FYI = The Moon is “New” when it’s in the same sign as the Sun (Sun entered Sagittarius on 11/21/13). Even though the Moon will go on to another sign (Capricorn on Wednesday), the supportive “New” energy lasts for approximately 10 days.

Call home – Friday Morning, 8/30/13, the Moon moves into its own sign again of Cancer. Its a Water sign and we’re drawn to hearth and home or anywhere we are hanging our hat this weekend. The Moon makes us sensitive and emotional, but don’t rule out the often soothing merits of a good meal. Downplay any moodiness and let Cancer’s kind, nurturing way of being show up.

BTW: Energy change on Sunday afternoon when the Moon struts into the regal, upbeat, attention getting Fire sign of Leo. (Have fun with this. Wear something Gold.)

“New Moon” in Leo on Tuesday August 6, 2013 – both the Sun and the Moon are in the generous, royal sign of Leo. With the Sun as ruler, this Fire sign is all about joyous, confidence. Don’t be surprised if there is a little drama thrown in. Have fun with it if you can.
