On Tuesday April 19, 2022, the Sun moves into determined, security minded Taurus. Even though the Bull is its Astrology symbol, it is ruled by the lovely, pleasure seeking planet Venus – the 2nd sign of the Zodiac has many dimensions. Stubbornly stand fast, but, let go of the tug rope when it is no longer useful. A serious Capricorn Sun arrives on Monday December 21, 2015 along with the celebrated Winter Solstice. As the year’s end approaches, mixed in with all the festivities, it’s the perfect time to look at what we’ve accomplished in the last 12 months and make plans for 2016. I love that whole “what’s next?” questioning process. A New Year, a blank calendar, great things are possible!

Capricorn, an Earth sign ruled by the planet Saturn, ambitious, efficient, grounded, practical and patient. Yes, very different from all the upbeat holiday revelry most of us have been experiencing under the Sagittarius Sun, however, there’s no need to have a letdown. Capricorn can keep us busy, accomplished and sensible. Re-goal yourself (I made this word up), tune up career moves, network in house, organize whatever needs to be shaped up. Make something happen. Just don’t get so bogged down in responsibilities that you become rigid and cautious.  Key word – “delegate”!

Due to the Moon position in the 9^th sign of the Zodiac, Friday and Saturday presents us with cheerful and adventurous possibilities. Jupiter ruled Sagittarius, which is a Fire sign, gives the ok to be upbeat, enthusiastic with expectations of good things.  (The champagne glass is ½ full, not ½ empty sort of attitude.) Take a short trip, spread some cheer, learn something new. Smile.

Early on Sunday morning, March 23, 2014, an atmospheric change comes along as the Moon moves into Earth sign Capricorn. Earth sign Virgo gets a chance at the Sun on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Whether it is your birth sign or not, we will feel the effects of this practical, hardworking, Mercury ruled 6^th sign of the Zodiac until 9/22/13. We will all be a little more grounded and efficient.

Virgo, sign of health, hard work and service also lets us know that it really is all about the details, details, details. If you want to work better/ want better work, put together the little building blocks needed to create something substantial, step by step. We all deserve achievement so why not go after it now (whatever “it” is). Also, implement a good health/exercise regimen. Feeling better helps you work better.

However, being wrapped up in details, or what some may call the “sweating the small stuff”, can also lead to being over critical and picky, not “seeing the forest for the trees” and/or that saying about “paralysis analysis”, etc. Friends,  family and co workers  eventually resent correction, the pointing out of faults, no matter how “helpful”, how good the intention.  Since planet ruler Mercury, the communication maven, transits Virgo, 8/22/13 – 9/9/13, we may talk more, snap more, be “clever”. Giving assistance doesn’t have to mean getting on everyone’s nerves. ,

Moon change:  we go from the sunny, “I” oriented Leo of the last few days into the dutiful, service, work oriented Earth sign Virgo on Friday June 14, 2013. Well, it may not be party time, but, we will be useful and focused.

You may notice an inclination to critically zone in on details, no matter how small – which might be an irritant to others, but things will get done! So, write those “to do” lists for next week, re caulk the bath tub- work hard, be industrious, be picky. The hard working 6^th sign of the Zodiac is about health, service, handling the details and getting things done. Just be careful not to do too many things at once. Juggling might be exciting and a personal test of skills, but don’t go overboard. Think “pace”.

A Full Moon is a great time to finalize whatever vitamin or diet regimen you may have been planning. The universe will support you in being healthy and whole. The influences of this Lunar phase will last for several days even when the sign changes.
