Weekend Moon – Work, Then Play

Astro New Moon CrescentTake the opportunity on Friday and Saturday to use the Virgo Moon to get all practical, responsible and stuff. As the steady, efficient Mercury ruled 6th sign of the Zodiac, Virgo reminds us of the importance of health, nutrition and service – it will lend itself to a guilt free “what’s next” – the very social Libra.

Very early on Sunday April 13, 2014, the Moon moves into relationship focused Libra and remains there until Monday’ . We can network. We can initiate sparkling conversations. We can schmooze. Ruled by lovely Venus, Libra really appreciates comfort in both surroundings and partnerships. You can fill the balance of the weekend with silk and cashmere quality events if you want – people, pretty things. Sounds good to me.

Have a sensible yet delicious weekend!

Theatrical Leo & Practical Virgo – Be Flexible!

This weekend, the Moon will shift us thru a variety of moods. It’s all good, we can handle it.

Astro moon-waning-crescent-lThe Lunar orb is in generous, dramatic (great for actors), attention seeking, creative Leo on Friday and Saturday, December 20 and 21. Ruled by the Sun, this fun loving Fire sign may add some drama, but we will be active, upbeat, and magnanimous, which can make for a really good time.

On Sunday, the energy changes when the Moon moves into Earthy, service oriented Virgo. Its traits of practicality and responsibility will give focus to doing what is needed. Take care of loose ends, pay attention to the details, handle business – accomplishment is exciting and makes you feel proud:)

Whatever you do, make it a weekend to remember!

Weekend Moon:Capricorn & Aquarius – Contribute

The Moon visits Capricorn on Friday and Saturday, then it moves into Aquarius on Sunday. Utilize wherever/whenever possible the energy of the particular sign the Lunar orb is in:

*Reliable, Saturn ruled Capricorn: Authority, ambition, organization

*Spontaneous, Uranus ruled Aquarius: Friendly, innovative, thrives in groups with a cause

This weekend, our Lunar mood influences will range from the business focused Earth sign to the people focused Air sign – work hard, be in charge and then rally volunteers for a neighborhood project? We can be flexible. Make a difference!

Earthy Capricorn and Airy Aquarius – make it work. Have a terrific weekend!

Astrology: Mercury Retrograde, Its Baaack! August 2nd

Tuesday 8/2/11 begins the second Mercury Retrograde for the year. The communication planet last went backward in March and you may recall how you waded through whatever snafus or confusion resulted. You can do it again!  Be alert, nail down exactly when that bus/ train/ plane is scheduled to leave. Make sure your PC/iPhone/iPad/Mobile, etc. is in top form and kept charged. Also, if your gas gauge shows “E”, believe it. Mercury Retrograde, which begins 11:50Pm Eastern / 8:50PM Pacific, is not the time to test your luck. Instead of Margo Channing’s classic line, “Fasten your seatbelt. Its’ going to be a bumpy night”, it’s actually going to be a “bumpy” 26 days.  (btw: the quote is from the movie All About Eve.  It was on TV a few weeks ago – love it.)

The Retrograde starts in Earth sign Virgo, transits backward into the 5th Zodiac sign Leo on 8/8 and continues its reverse until it finally stops on 8/26 (still in Fire sign Leo). Mercury then goes Direct and you may notice the fog lifting, gadgets working again, etc.  However, it will not reach the sign it rules, Virgo, again until 9/9. That is when communications, written or spoken and plans you may have for health / diet upgrades will really take flight. When Mercury is in one of the signs it rules, Gemini is the other, their traits are energized. Analytical, practical Virgo should show up and be about taking care of the details, getting things done.

In the mean time, remember my usual suggestions for Mercury Retrograde – see it as an opportunity to review, reconsider, re-think. However, note that as we do this, we are not going backwards into the past, we are pro actively making any needed changes, re evaluations for the future.  A good thing.
