Our thoughts lean towards managing career, long term goals, creating success (whatever that means to you) and reaching for the top. Are your business strategies, actions producing results? Capricorn Full Moon: July 12, 2014 – 7:25AM EDT / 4:25AM PDT

Yep, it’s here again. Mercury Retrograde on February 6, 2014 until the 28^th – the first retrograde of this communication, transportation, tech influencing planet for 2014. Confusion may ensue.  What to do? What does it all mean? In a nutshell: pay attention as you speak, write, listen, read and don’t forget to back up your stuff.

Contract signings, innovations, new investments should be delayed if possible and certainly not attempted until after close scrutiny. Pisces and its planet ruler Neptune can push us far away from the real. Great for creativity, not so much for focusing on details. Situations are not always clear. The resulting haziness can lead to misinterpretation. However, life doesn’t stop because a planet goes backward. If you can’t wait until it’s over and you have to make plans, complete projects, submit reports, etc. Keep track, keep copies, jot down details, just in case work has to be repeated, or something gets lost. Mitigate the severity of any possible messes that may occur. Repeat the mantra – “Sloppiness and carelessness not allowed”.

Mercury Retrograde is always a good time to make future plans, complete projects and of course to exercise all those “re” actions: re evaluate, rewrite, re assess, re acquaint, re address. The retrograde period can give us time to pause and reflect, rather than jump into new schemes. Mercury Retrograde will begin in Pisces, continue its backward movement as it reaches Airy Aquarius on February 13^th until it stops and moves Direct again on March 1, 2014. Mercury, ruler of Gemini and Virgo, is more comfortable in Aquarius than in sensitive Pisces. Clarity should return in a few days. (Mercury will move forward into Pisces again on March 17^th.)

On Jan 30, 2014, an Aquarius New Moon will give power and possibilities to our group actions. The Uranus ruled Air sign wants us involved with humanitarian issues – exercise those revolutionary muscles by joining or creating movements with the aim of defeating the status quo. Regardless of what’s going on, it will speak to Aquarian need for independence, love of the radical and different.

Friday evening, January 31, 2014, the Moon slips into emotional water sign Pisces for the weekend. Dreamy, vague, sensitive, impressionable – focus may be difficult. Don’t take on the troubles of the world. Good news for artists – great time for creativity and imagination. Keep pen handy to jot down any useful night or day dreams.

The unpredictable, independent, Uranus ruled Aquarius Moon on Friday December 6, 2013 might give us some surprises. If that makes you nervous, imagine all the fun you can have this weekend under the influence of this unconventional Air sign. Just think thru any extreme plans that might cross your mind. There may be consequences, fallout.

Early Sunday, we will experience a more warm and fuzzy feeling with the arrival of the Neptune ruled Pisces Moon. This water sign is dreamy, sensitive and imaginative, so be sure to stay grounded and hold on to reality. However, this is a great time to be creative. (Try to remember and write down any ideas that float to the surface while dreaming.)

Re: Friday the 13th – I avoid those freaky Friday conversations. Can’t really jump on the “Triskaidekaphobia” bandwagon, Friday the 13ths are usually lucky days for me, so that’s what I’ll anticipate!

The revolution may be televised or not – but there will certainly be unusual, unconventional activity whenever the Moon is Full in the 11^th sign of the Zodiac. Independent, group focused Aquarius can be a stubborn sign with an affinity for causes. Before jumping to the front lines, pause and reflect – is the issue real for you, or is the response automatic / knee jerk. 

With a Full Lunar orb in this sign, Aquarian influences may be felt more intensely. Uranus, this independent Air sign’s planet ruler, loves change, hates constrictions and thrives on spontaneity, which can be exciting but precarious. Thinking works. You can still volunteer, organize, make a difference, do the “No Justice, No Peace” chant without falling off the edge. (Put that flame thrower back in the closet.)

 (As I’ve mentioned before, at “Full” phase, the Moon is opposite the Sun and is in its “waning” phase on its way to the 3rd and 4th quarters, therefore, it is a good time to clean up and finish old projects.)

The first New Moon of 2013 happens on Friday January 11^h. The Lunar Orb is in ambitious, career minded Earth Sign Capricorn – a great way to start the year when you want to devise goals and plans for a status upgrade – strategize! Like all New Moons, it always occurs in the same sign as the current Sun placement intensifying and powering its Astrology traits, characteristics. As I’ve said before, New Moons are always full of “beginning” possibilities, this 10^th sign of the Zodiac can supply the pragmatism and discipline to go forward and pursue a path to success.

Even though the Moon will change signs, the “New” energy lasts for about 10 days. From duty bound convention to irreverent rebel, Saturday and Sunday will be under the vibe of the friendly, unpredictable, independent Aquarius Moon. We may be more inclined to do something original, to be spontaneous, to be ready to join the revolution. (Find that old Che T-Shirt 😎 ) Organize a community or group to do some good.

The Sun enters Capricorn on Friday December 21, 2012, and it also heralds the Winter Solstice, the official start of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. This Earth sign, ruled by Saturn, believes in duty, responsibility, and loves being in charge. Regardless of our birthday, we may all feel some of the ambitious, “being the Boss” Capricorn energy until January 19, 2013 when the Sun moves into rebellious Aquarius.  Also, note that feisty, in your face Warrior planet Mars is visiting Capricorn until December 26, 2012. Be careful with others as you tell them what to do (Christmas tree decorating is supposed to be fun). You can be authoritative with honey, rather than vinegar.

No need to experience a letdown after all the holiday spirit. It’s the perfect time to look at what we’ve accomplished in 2012 and make plans for 2013. With Capricorn‘s affinity for work and organization, we can keep busy, accomplished and sensible. Tune up career moves, plan your networking push, determine whatever needs to be shaped up and do it. Make something happen. Just don’t get so bogged down that you become rigid and/or cautious.  Relax, remember that you have a sense of humor – use it.
