The Sun moved into the 12^th and final sign of the Zodiac – imaginative, impressionable, intuitive Pisces on Friday, February 18, 2022.  Pisces is a sensitive Water sign and if too much emotion sends you off course, focus on the task at hand to stay grounded and connected to reality. Keying in to adverse energy or vibrations is no excuse to drift or evade life. Stay steady and productive. Tap into all that compassion and kindness that Pisces is known for and spread it around. Sympathy and empathy abounds, but take off the rose colored glasses – offer assistance where it is genuinely needed. This may affect all of us regardless of astrology sign.

Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance, has a Pisces transit from December 28, 2021 to May 11, 2022, and again from October 28–December 21, 2022. Expansion in all things, “bigger is better” Jupiter will push for more love, more giving and more joy.  (I’ll take it!)

Mystical Neptune, Pisces’ Planet ruler, will transit until January 2026 (happens about every 165 years). It’s been visiting since February 2011. It has a reputation for clouding the waters, fading boundaries and fostering escapism. But, all those things that make life unsettled can also enhance imagination and creativity. Innovations in music, dance, and theater will probably bubble to the surface faster than usual. The subconscious can be a treasure trove of ideas now. The Sun enters unpredictable, independent Aquarius on Wednesday January 19, 2022. Things may not be outrageous and out of the box, but, it can be original, inventive and often revolutionary when under the influence of the Airy, 11^th sign of the Zodiac. It’s not a surprise Aquarius is ruled by the unconventional, undeniably radical planet Uranus – freedom, independence and sudden changes of direction.

Aquarius has a stubborn streak. It is one of 4 “Fixed” signs of the Zodiac, (along with Taurus, Scorpio and Leo). While the urge to stand ground and refuse to follow along are all present, give attention to another trait which is the desire to contribute to the universe in some positive way. Mr Sidney Poitier, whom I considered a national treasure, has left us, 1/7/22 at age 94,  with great stories, great images and lots of pride and warm thoughts. He lived his life. He won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Grammy. He had success as an actor, director, author and perhaps more importantly, as a man.

Born in 1927 in the Bahamas, Mr. Poitier went to New York as a teen, taught himself to read and catapulted himself into an acting career- a movie star. Not an easy road, but he did it with humor, grace, determination and a never wavering belief in him self.

He condensed some of the life lessons learned into books, not just about his journey, but also about how to conduct himself in an often difficult  and complicated world.

The very best for us in 2022

Potent, powerful, persistent, and passionate OR, stubborn, secretive, sensitive and sensual. I couldn’t decide on which group of adjectives to use for the mysterious Scorpio, 8^th sign if the Zodiac. I’ve decided that it isn’t an either / or situation – all may apply to this water sign at some time or other. The Sun will heat and be heated by this fixed sign beginning on Friday October 22 PDT and on Saturday October 23, 2021 EDT.

Note that “deep” and “fierce” can lead to all sorts of “feelings” that you may not be prepared to confront. So, don’t be surprised if emotions occasionally go unchecked. Often, the resulting “overwhelm” will not quite match the situation. There is nothing wrong with using an internal pause button to give us a chance to think, rather than just react.

With Scorpio’s traditional planet ruler Mars (energy and aggression) and its modern ruler Pluto (power and transformation), being cool, being superficial – skimming the surface, in conversation or action, just won’t do. The next couple of weeks can ramp up intensity and dig deep for all of us.

The Sun moved into generous, enthusiastic Fire sign Leo on July 22, 2021) The time is great to use the flirty, creative vibrations natural to the 5^th sign off the Zodiac to start a project, enroll a special someone in your life, and / or do an awesome performance. Take all the Solar driven joy and confidence and have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)

On Thursday, May 20, 2021, the Sun entered the third sign of the Zodiac. It is Gemini season until Jun 20 – when the Summer Solstice begins (Sun into Cancer). Gemini has the “twins” as its Astrology symbol, (Castor & Pollux), and we will want to double the fun regardless of our actual birth sign. Wanting / needing to be in 2 places at once can be fun, doing 2 things at the same time will be an “of course” – duality rules. Let the multi – tasking begin!

This Air sign, ruled by Mercury the communication planet, urges us to be with people – tweet, Face book, text or have an old fashioned “face to face”. Learn something new, create, chat too much, gossip too much and don’t forget travel, whether it be real or arm chair, the search for greener grass will be enticing.

~ Fleet footed Mercury transits Gemini from 5/5 – 7/12.  It’s about being clever, being quick. It will be Retrograde (it appears to move backwards in the sky) beginning 5/29 until 6/21 which may cause confusion & some snafus. Collect your thoughts, watch what you say or write. Don’t be careless or sloppy while interacting with others.

~ Venus, planet of love and beauty, will be in Gemini from 5/10 to 6/3. It can bring out our social best and gentle some of that Gemini verbal snarkiness.

This can be such a good time, but also exhausting. Rather than rush around feeling overwhelmed or scattered, hit the pause button occasionally to re focus. Deliver on promises. Complete a task, then go on to what’s next. Half done is half accomplished.

The Sun moves into tenacious, talented & tasteful Taurus on Monday April 19, 2021. The second sign of the Zodiac has the stubborn Bull as its Zodiac symbol – for a good reason. Often unwavering in beliefs, there may be a tendency to hold on even after others have dropped the tug rope. Just remember to “let go” when obstinacy no longer works.

However, Taurus is ruled by the lovely, romantic planet Venus. This Earth sign has several other traits. It can be practical and grounded, but it’s also a lover of beauty, good food and financial acuity. Loved ones are treated to poetry, music and gourmet restaurants, while getting a lecture on avoiding economic pot holes – nice mix.

The Moon will be in energetic Aries Saturday and Sunday, 4/10 and 4/11. When the Lunar orb transits the 1^st sign of the Zodiac, which is ruled by warrior planet Mars, we are more physical and more “up for anything”. Depending upon what the “anything” is, it could be the best of times or the most precarious of times.

Aries loves action and you probably won’t want to sit around anyplace for too long. Also, communication planet Mercury is transiting this high octane sign until 4/19, so not only is motion speeding up, but so is thinking and talking. Take advantage. Definitely initiate something exciting, different but be positive. Keep the flame thrower in the closet.
