The Sun is in Leo and the Moon will be too this weekend. On Saturday, July 26, 2014, the Lunar orb will be in its “New” phase, a great time to use the flirty, creative vibrations natural to the 5^th sign off the Zodiac to start a project, enroll a special someone in your life, do an awesome presentation. Thanks to lucky Jupiter, transiting in the same sign until 2015, charm and fortune are in your corner. Put all that Solar driven joy and confidence all over people, give a performance, have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)

Capricorn Full Moon: July 12, 2014 – 7:25AM EDT / 4:25AM PDT

Finally, finally, Mercury stops its Retrograde motion as of July 1, 2014 and goes Direct. Don’t get sloppy now and forget to check the details, back up electronic gadgets or assume you know “the way to San Jose” without a map. It will take a few days for Mercury’s winged feet to get up to forward speed and dispel any murkiness we’ve had to deal with for the last 3 weeks. So, continue vigilance and watch out for any snafus. However, by the weekend, things are clearer and the pace quickens. There is great potential for any social occasion that might pop up – the Moon moves into Venus ruled, charming, flirtatious Libra early Friday morning July 4^th.

The 7^th sign of the Zodiac, Air sign Libra, inclines us towards cooperation with partners – searching for balance, fairness and calm.Others feel good around you. Pretty up yourself and your surroundings, get with people, spread cheer – invite a few folks to watch fireworks (and / or cocktails)?

Cancer New Moon June 27, 2014 – 4:08AM EDT / 1:08AM PDT

Yes, the “livin’ is easy” as we greet the Summer Solstice, Saturday June 21, 2014. Besides being the longest day of the year, in the Northern Hemisphere, it also means the Sun has moved into the sign of Cancer, the Moon ruled 4^th sign of the Zodiac. This Water sign is emotional, moody, nurturing, concerned with home and family. I think Cancers make good actors – all those deep, vibrating feelings can be released by playing out their secret selves on stage. We will all be under this sign’s sensitive and caring influences until July 22, 2014.

Your own personal Sun sign might be different, but, you can still take advantage of some of Cancer’s influences by paying attention to your instincts or thoughts you can’t put into words. Don’t let the antennas wilt. Heightened awareness can provide useful information about people, places, things. At those times when dark moods prevail, don’t overeat while trying to make it better. The Sagittarius Moon will be fully lit by the Sun in the opposite sign Gemini – very dramatic, but nothing to fear. And “Triskaidekaphobia” is just that, a “phobia”. The exact time the “Full” Lunar orb occurs in Fire sign Sag on “Friday the 13^th” will depend on Time Zones – East Coast, Europe, etc. (It will happen on the Thursday June 12, 2014 Pacific Time).

A “Full” phase is a time to look for results– we start to see the end product of what ideas/efforts were begun at the time of the New Moon. With adventurous, upbeat Sagittarius, we have energy, a sense that “of course good things can happen” outlook and a willingness to go for miracles – which can come in handy when edging a project toward fruition. Retrograde Mercury strikes again on June 7, 2014, the 2^nd of the year. It begins in Water sign Cancer – emotions, family, friends, the past. Then on 6/17, the planet backs into the Air sign it rules, Gemini, until 7/1 when Mercury, planet of communication, short trips, siblings, goes Direct. We can deal, we can handle, we will survive it! Again.

Can you imagine any communication snafus occurring between you and family members during the 3 weeks of the retrograde? Of course you can – so, the cautions are the same as always during a backward Mercury. Watch what you say or write. Be clear and precise, try not to leave room for mis interpretation. Hurt feelings, confusion can really be done without, especially with those closest to you. Keep things simple and uncomplicated as you live your life (it never stops regardless of whether a planet goes backward or forward). Complications and “hot messes” can arise all by themselves.

However, life is still great. We can get thru just as we’ve done in the past – prepare and pay attention. Back up your stuff. Get your facts, along with your ducks, in a row – verify, verify, verify. Use Retrograde time to do “re” things – review, reread, re evaluate, regroup, re charge.

Yes, I could have just used the word “Chatty”, however, Wednesday’s New Moon, with start up, initiating energy, will be in Communication focused, Air sign Gemini. The Moon is considered “New” when the Sun and Moon are in the same Zodiac sign and this time is great for new ideas and implementing new projects. Just be sure to verify whatever information comes your way before taking action. We will certainly be spurred on to share thoughts, feelings, stories at length regardless of who wants to listen. So get your facts straight. (Short and sweet works best sometimes. And remember, silence is a form of communication too 🙂 )
