It’s Baaaaack! Mercury Retrograde 6/26/13

Mercury, the planet of communication, transportation, manual dexterity, stops motion and begins its travel backward in the sky (“Retrograde”) beginning Wednesday June 26, 2013. It happens in the nurturing, sensitive, Water sign of Cancer, however, regardless of the Sun sign, my cautions are always the same. With the sluggishness of Retrograde, energy may be blunted and snafus can occur. Project initiation/creation would be best delayed if possible – if not, be meticulous, be careful. Astro planet 3Emotional, moody Cancer is concerned with family and friends and enjoys taking care. Be careful about what is said at the annual picnic or gathering to avoid hurt feelings or misunderstood intentions.

As always, use this time to review, rethink, rework, revise, revisit, so that when Mercury stops and reverses to Direct on July 20, 2013, it’s forward motion can be taken advantage of and projects that appeared to be stalled can be rejuvenated and re launched with the benefit of any retooling that was done.

Sagittarius and Capricorn for the Weekend!

Astro Moon FullFriday June 21, 2013, starts off the weekend with a Sagittarius Moon. The possibilities for adventure are endless. Take a short trip, spread a little cheer or have a deep and philosophical conversation about something (an often forgotten Sag trait).

An atmospheric change comes along on early Sunday, with the arrival of a Capricorn Full Moon (reflecting the light of the opposite Cancer Sun). Our thoughts become more deliberate and concerned with ambition, status, financial stability, etc.

Cancer Sun/Summer Solstice = Ice Cream!

“Summer’s here and the time is right for dancin’ in the streets” Our Summer Solstice, Thursday June 20, 2013 (PDT), coincides with the Sun’s move into Water sign Cancer. This Moon ruled 4th sign of the Zodiac will nurture us thru the longest day of the year. Cancers can be emotional, moody, restless and sensitive, but– will always take care. Family, real or created, is the focus. Just be careful about going overboard with eating urges and/or needing to be needed. Know what is best for you – with both food and people.

Don’t let the antennas wilt. Heightened awareness can provide useful information. And, of course enjoy the homey, comfy company of family and friends. Virgo Moon Weekend – Details, Details, Details!

Astro moon-waning-crescent-lMoon change:  we go from the sunny, “I” oriented Leo of the last few days into the dutiful, service, work oriented Earth sign Virgo on Friday June 14, 2013. Well, it may not be party time, but, we will be useful and focused.

You may notice an inclination to critically zone in on details, no matter how small – which might be an irritant to others, but things will get done! So, write those “to do” lists for next week, re caulk the bath tub- work hard, be industrious, be picky. But, remember to relax a little and delegate whatever you can, it’s still the weekend – enjoy it!

Weekend Moon: Gemini & Cancer

The Sun is also in this youthful, Mercury ruled Air Sign right now so don’t be surprised if you’re in constant movement and constant communication. It can be fun and/or just busy. You decide.

Weekend Moon: Sweet Pisces – Explosive Aries

The Moon slips into fiery “let’s get physical” Aries late on Saturday and remains until Monday. There will probably be lots of activity, lots of energy – make no rash moves, watch the temper, be nice and have fun!

Sagittarius Full Moon Holiday Weekend

The Moon moves into the 9th sign of the Zodiac – let’s have an adventure Sagittarius – on Friday afternoon and becomes “Full” in the evening. This is a good thing – we can have fun as we prepare for the holiday weekend. During a Full Moon, the luminaries are exactly opposite each other. The Moon is fully lit by the Sun (in the opposite sign Gemini). Lovely, dramatic, but nothing to fear .

Astro Moon FullA “Full” phase, is a time to look for results– we start to see the end product of what ideas/efforts were begun at the time of the New Moon.  With fiery Sagittarius, we have energy, a sense that “of course good things can happen” and a willingness to go for miracles – which can come in handy when edging a project toward fruition. (The Moon will continue to wane, decrease in size, until we see the Moon in its “crescent” view.)

On Saturday afternoon 5/26, the Moon will slip into the next sign, Capricorn, and remain there until Monday.  You might notice a definite attitude/ atmosphere change. The 10th sign of the Zodiac has a duty, responsibility, authoritarian focus.  Maybe not many laughs, but things will get done

Gemini Sun May 20 * Be busy, Have Fun!

Mercury, our communications, education, transportation planet, rules the 3rd sign of the Zodiac and it wants us to add variety to life and just generally perk things up.

Let’s Talk! Gemini Moon All Weekend

Astro New Moon CrescentA Gemini Moon, beginning today, May 10, 2013, will have us searching for people to hear us, listen to us, or read us this weekend. We got something to say! Lucky Jupiter lingers in the natural chatty, twittering energy of communication maven Gemini making us feel that all is possible and we can’t miss.  But, let’s not get too full of ourselves. A snippy Twitter or FB post can grow legs and follow you around for a few days. (You’ll have to spend time next week deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing, deleting & apologizing…)

The urge to exchange ideas and deep thoughts, or just gossip, will be strong. Have fun, spread knowledge, teach something, learn something, enjoy the youthful energy that is particularly Gemini.

Cinco de Mayo Pisces Moon Weekend!

Astro moon-waning-crescent-lI love Margaritas and this weekend will be a great excuse to surrender to any music, dance and beverage favs during the celebrations on Sunday – Cinco de Mayo, May 5, 2013. The Pisces Moon all weekend will make us sensitive and vulnerable but, also social. Good times are possible.

However, a Water sign, ruled by impressionable Neptune, the Pisces Moon may have you looking for even more of an escape to another world by any means handy, but stay grounded, stay in body. Don’t let “the far side” overwhelm you or lose your grip.
